Quiet Turbo Back exhaust w/o a cat for a evo 9
My Apexi N1 is really quiet at idle and partial throttle and I have a test pipe. I would believe that the Noir version would be even quieter. Don't quote me on this but I believe the apexis come with multiple resonators.
this has been discussed many times
I did a ton of research - I will give you three of the quitest (never heard the first or the last one - I own the silent)
1 - Fujitsubo rma1
2 - HKS Silent Hipower
3 - AVO (I might have misspelld this one)
with the mods I got in my sig, my car made 75HP more than stock in 40F higher temperature - so the silent isnt that restrictive until 400HP

im just looking for a simple bolt on silencer to my existing exhaust if possible.
edit/// just found an easy solution to my problem. perrin sells a silencer that easily bolts on and off. so bolt on for morning when i leave early and take off any other time. only 50 bucks too so..........

Not worth changing the stock unit for it IMO

Were you comparing catback to catback?
The 3076 kit made 360 whp peak on our dyno @ 22psi on 93 oct and with the Tanabe installed made 327 whp peak with the same conditions...It was quiet, but also very restrictive indeed

Whoops my mistake ...I have just got off the dyno with a stockish SRT4 and my head was still in the 200's....I meant 327 whp...I have corrected above

Re revival bump! Have all the quiet exhaust options been discussed here or have there been some new models which have come out since the last post? If so, which exhausts are you guys running and are there some youtube clips?
I searched but the only one's I'm finding are for the HKS Hi Power Silent which sounds great by the way but I'm also cross shopping that exhaust and seeing what's out there...what's better etc!
Thanks in advance
Mike

In your sistuation i would use an exhaust cut out from QTP or something. They sell a complete down pipe for like $450. I use a QTP cut out on my talon with the stock exhaust. Its so quiet when its closed ppl dont even know my cars on. With the cut out open it idles like its cammed, sounds like a diesel truck down low and just screams like hell at WOT
