The new Tanabe Medallion Touring cat-back is looking pretty good to me. It has a pretty good sized muffler and a resonator. FWIW, they claim less than 93 dB noise level. The price is pretty reasonable too.

this is a good place to ask this question, any of you know if you can get a silencer for any exhaust system, like a universal one of some sort? and how much quieter would it make it? and where could i find one you suppose??

many exhausts come with "silencers". It's a sort of plug that goes into the tip. The shape of this plug basically kills the loud noise, but it also kills flow. I don't see any point in purchasing an aftermarket exhaust if it's only going to be plugged, because it prevents the increased flow and increased performance.

So I guess to more specifically answer your question, you can get a silencer for any exhaust, IF one is made for the tip's EXACT inner diameter.

For almost every car on the road, about the only way to reduce noise level is to restrict flow somehow. Otherwise racecars wouldn't be so damn noisy and loud.

I have tested this pipe back to back, same car (V390 evo), with a Vishnu signature system and although very quiet the Tanabe lost 20whp over the Vishnu unit.....
Not worth changing the stock unit for it IMO

i know that a silencer will kill my flow but i would just want to use it on weekdays. my wife hates when i wake her up in the morning when i go to work and i start the car and she gets woken up by the exhaust.........so by all means it wouldnt be a permanent thing that i would want
