I hope you are kidding because for that kind of money you could get higher quality products, Motons, Ohlin DFV, Ohlins Flag series, DMS 50s, etc. The selling points for these coilovers are that, they are a good performing set for the price. Bang for buck is high and things are affordable. Plus the R&D is done so you don't have to go through the headache of trying to figure everything out yourself, most of us just don't have the time and the money.

I think at this point I will talk with Vishnu to see about any potental problems going this route, but I need to something soon or I will need kidney dialosis machine installed in the EVO...
I think revalving would be cheaper because they are just replacing the seals and recharging the oil and the nitrogen (please correct me if I am incorrect in my assumption). I don't think they would have to replace or modify the shims as the valving design would stay the same. Its not like they have to reconfigure the shims to figure out what type of dampening curve matches your spring rates.

Mine have already been re-valved, the question is how to get them serviced. If the shim stack doesn't have to be changed, then there is no reason for Works to perform any of that work. But I do want to make sure that there are no IP problems.

The ride is getting pretty bad at this point, I am getting a lot of feedback through the ABS because I hardly have any decent dampening or rebound control.

Bingo! and IMHO that would be the key issue ...

i just bought my evo9 yesterday, and now i'm really sad over the fact that i can't get this suspension setup anymore, is there anyway to still get the vishnu spec ohlins, like buying a used set, or maybe buying a set of ohlin r/t's and then sending them to vishnu and paying for them to revalve and all that good stuff to the dampers? just wondering..

Vishnu doesn't actually mess with them - it's the guys in Colorado who do the re-valving, and the two who know how to do it are not available.

Yeah, tell me about it. The main reason why I chose this package over something from Robi is because Paul and his crew were local to me, but right when I got mine, Joe (the main, original builder/re-valver/mechanic) took a job in Chicago with a race team. His backup/protege' was luckily still around to do my installs, setup, cross-balancing, and both alignments. However, he also took a job soon after that, so I no longer have any local support. Paul is still in the state, but he's so busy racing around the country. He's not quite like Robi who runs around doing installs, corner weighting, and alignments. That's kinda what I need now that I've decided to increase the rear camber to -1.5 and since all of my toe measurements got thrown out of whack (not sure how). The local laser alignment places just can't seem to get it right.

I would learn to align it yourself. It's not that difficult. Camber is easily measured with a plumbbob and a little trigonometry and toe is also easily measured by putting a string box around the car. Then you have the freedom to use alignment as a tuning parameter between events without shelling out $100+ every time you want a change. It may not be as accurate as a laser alignment done right, but we don't race on perfectly smooth 100% level even pavement either.

There's a bit more to getting it right than just getting those things and playing around. It requires great skill to learn how to do all that at the level mine was done initially as well as great knowledge of suspension theory. I have none of that at the moment and no one to teach me, but I'd sure like to learn.

I thought your immediate problem was that the local alignment shop couldn't align it to your specs, not that you didn't know what you wanted. As far as great knowledge, you need an initial setup that is close, which you already have, and then you make little adjustments from there depending on how the car feels to you (as well as things like tire wear patterns) to fine tune it to your personal driving style. If you were starting from scratch, then yeah, you'd need to know what you're doing if you didn't have someone else's proven setup to start with. But if you are just doing fine tuning you should be able to do that on your own.

Good advice above. This is where I sent my Vishnu Ohlins just a few months ago. They are top notch. Look no further.
