I am getting my Ohlins R&T revalved to Vishnu specs. Basically as Smogrunner posted, they look like any other regular Ohlins R&T or sportline coilovers ... I'm very excited to run these as I have a lot of faith in Chronohunter's suspension background

I wish Vishnu was a little more honest about arrival time, when I first asked them it was supposed to be 2 weeks now it's been 2 months. If they first said it was going to take 3-4 months initially I wouldn't mind. I hope these are worth the wait because I was contemplating about dual-adjust. Motons.

Ha! I'm still waiting for a revalve of my Ohlins to Vishnu/Chronohunter Specs, apparently both their main guys who do the revalves are busy elsewhere or have left. I knew is should have sent them in as soon as I had paid for them but like a dumba$$ I decided to wait for my springs to arrive. And now there is noone to revalve them for me. Last I heard one of their guys, is going to be back in May and that is when the revalves can be done. If it is not Ohlins in shortage all over the world then it is another thing ... sigh

Just as long as you get 'em before the season!

To be absolutely honest they/we did not know. Ohlins started sending kits with pieces missing and the reorders for the missing parts were delaying the whole process. It seems like they were stealing from the next set because they'd show up with the same stuff missing. We aren't real happy with Ohlins at the moment (great product with bad customer service). Compounding the problem recently is that Rob from CSU took a job in Indianapolis with a race team so that complicated and slowed things on top of the missing parts issue. We will get it sorted ASAP and so so sorry for the issues

It sounds like the few folks that are having to wait longer than anticipated are taking it stride. Thumbs up to you. They are WELL worth the wait. I love my suspension.

Take your time getting it fixed, Paul. I don't have money for both the suspension AND the driving school.

As much as it pains me to promote Vishnu, I can't say enough about the quality of this product and the EXTREME results. I am a relative newbie to the track and probably still have no idea what I'm doing, but I gained 6 seconds this past weekend on my local, familiar track. I was on 285 V710s instead of 245 V710s, so that obvious played a part, but I also ran a faster time on my RT-615s (1:44.xx) than I did last year on my V710s (1:45.xx) when I had stock suspension. I also ran that 1:44.xx in traffic, so I never got a free lap on my street tires to see what I could do. I gained a full 2 seconds on my race tires from traffic to no traffic, so a 1:42-1:43 is likely if I were to give the RT-615s a shot on the open track.

I can also backup what Paul said about making our 30k hunk feel like a 100k Porsche, considering I was faster than a supercharged NSX with remote reservoir Motons and only 2 seconds slower than that Noble with lots of money into it. Some have already heard me say that, but for those thinking about this suspension, what better story is there? Actually, I shouldn't be telling anyone, because I get no benefit for doing so, and I'd rather be the fastest Evo out there.

Well....my stride...or patience is wearing thin. It gets real tough to wait for something when you don't feel like anything is being done to help the situation. When the customer is doing ALL of the communication and Vishnu makes very little effort to make you aware of what is actually happening and lying on top of it.

Hate to say it but I am taking a serious look at other options right now. I ordered the ohlins on 1/16, was charged on 1/16 and that was the last communication that I have received, outside of me phoning in to them. At that point they were "in stock in the US". Now I am losing all my good testing/development time by the week.

Season sure is starting off great.....f*ck....

I'm glad I got mine when I did, but it still took 4 months or so due to both Ohlin and other suppliers being delayed. It seems that thanks to Paul, Vishnu has come up with a highly sought after product that is proven to work, but they can't meet the demand due to circumstances. I wonder if Paul could work this same magic with a different set of shocks that has a more reliable supply...

That's what I said a year ago. It's obvious they have a great product, but I can only imagine how much business Vishnu has lost as a result and how many customers they've distanced.

Here here, my season starts this weekend and then its a whirlwind of events one following another. I was telling my wife how frustrated I was with the situation. I'm going to be losing VALUABLE testing and learning time with these coilovers. If I show up for divisional events with my stock MR suspension I don't even stand a snowballs chance in hell. I'm happy Smoggy is enjoying his coilovers but that doesn't do diddly squat for me.

Yeah right ...

[rant] We have people like you and me who have paid and have been/are being patient. We support Vishnu in the forums and who winds up with a working set of Ohlins? Warrtalon, someone who is supporting Buschur, Vishnu's competition, ironic wouldn't you say. For crying out loud I even have an Xede sitting at home! ... I wouldn't have even known about the whole thing hadn't I email Robbie right before I paid to ship out my Ohlins. I get a reply back saying he wasn't even in Colorado anymore ... GREAT! So I run over and drag my coilovers back before they ship them to an empty location ...

Please understand I am very frustrated and annoyed with the whole situation and I may come out sounding very harsh. Most of this comes form knowing I have no choice but to wait and get d!cked around. I understand some things are out of their control and Chronohunter and Vishnu aren't to blame and this is all a sick joke fate is playing on me .... GWAD why didn't I ship them in JAN?!?! I would have had them revalved and back already. FAWK!!![/rant]

I usually don't rant about things and am a patient guy by nature ... Speedo can vouch for that as he knows me personally. Even he got sick of waiting for Vishnu Ohlins and went with KWs. But when you wait patiently for years planning everything out and it doesn't pan out .... its a little hard to take things in stride ... sigh ...

believe me we tried that but the pricing was too high on all other worthwhile (high enough quality revalvable) shocks. The pricing would have went up well over a grand for any other useable products. Ohlins USA has all of us by the short hairs right now. I just fired of an e-mail to Sweden last night making sure the parent company understands how much Ohlins USA is messing us up (and costing them $$$).
