Even though my car runs perfect I think I should get a boost guage. My oem one hits 1.5 (the end) of the guage all the time so I don't even know what it is. This is just through mid-throttle though. I think it goes down at redline haha

The OEM guage sucks since it hard to read while driving I got the DEFI BF guage so I can look at road and the boost guage. I spike 23.5 PSI on cold nights for but it tappers to about 17 at 7800 RPMS. I lowered by boost tables from spike of 26 PSI.

But what if there is something wrong with his car? I say get a cheap MBC and see if the boost changes at all, then he can decide to keep the MBC or have you lower the boost with a flash.

If the vac line connection to the pill or from the pill to the BCS came loose/developed a leak it would increase your boost.

Has this been resolved? I just installed a mail-in xflash from Vishnu, and I saw 24-25 psi (1.65-1.7 bar) on the MR boost gauge today in 5th gear (highest I saw was 1.4 bar before the flash).

Umm. The issue has'nt been resolved yet. Shiv contacted me and told me to go in for Calvin (I believe) to fix it. I have'nt responded to Shiv's PM as of yet because my clutch blew out like the day after Shiv PM'd me. lol. So my car is currently down for a clutch job. I'll be contacting Shiv again later on once I get my new clutch in. haha. I'll keep you guys updated after all of this is fixed.

Just get a mbc

I had an xflash, i would spike to 22.5 psi, i added a few other items, I rolled on the throttle, WHAMO 28 psi spike.......next item was a mbc.

Vishnu claimed at the time they only had 1 pill / restrictor & i wanted to fix my problem quick, the mbc was the simple sollution.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my most recent message to Shiv. I'm thinking about trying to get an undrilled bleeder, and drilling a slightly smaller dia bleed hole.

I dunno how or why, but my problem is gone.. shrugs. I've been driving my car around for the past week or so with no boost issues. I'm beginning to think I just bought one of the messed up evo's. lol.

Yep. It goes all the way to the "c" on the cm/Hg and tapers to 1.5 bar (22 psi) by 7000 rpm. Still waiting to hear back from the email I sent to Shiv on this.

From my experience, the stock gauge (defi also) compared to a medical grade pressure sensor is inaccurate. It has the tendency to read high.

Mine doesnt taper.....It just stays up there. BUT i really don't stay on it too long cause im afraid it might damage something.

Weird thing tho is the power is still smooth. It just keeps on pulling. I don't feel anything bad its just the high reading that scares me.
