I usually get to hear about the "Rumors" and the reality is, EVERY tuner has a few incidents.. I'd say across the board that everyone has blown an engine or two, and don't let that affect your decision, do your research.

I chose my mod path for a reason.. But it was chosen by doing research. I'm not a Vishnu customer, and I've never seen Eye-to-eye with Shiv.. But I wouldn't believe all of the claims you hear.. When you get a bunch of people talking at a get-together, you tend to hear alot of stuff from alot of people.. most of it is unsubstantiated..

If he's local to you, and you have a clear idea of what you want, then discuss it with him and make your own decision on who you want to tune your car, and what mods to use.

The worst decisions you can make are the uneducated ones, or the ones made by others.

My personal evo was tuned by Shiv and has covered over 55,000 miles since he tuned it....

My current Mazdaspeed MX5 has over 10,000 trouble free miles on it since Shiv tuned it

He has personally tuned over 90 vehicles at our shop, of which 70% of them were evos, and not a single engine , to my knowledge, has had an issue of any consequence...

I have witnessed, been involved in, and ran over 300 dyno sessions with cars with Vishnu based products installed on them...and I would not hesitate to recommend the products Vishnu sells to anyone that considers reliability and longevity as factors when buying aftermarket performance products....

F***vishnu.com is a waste of time. When signing up you are told, "ALL INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THIS SITE IS DESIGNED TO BE A PARODY ( OR JOKE) AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY." Also, Dynoflash is a supermod. They also dont like Turbotrix or Blonde, so Vishnu is not alone

I'm going to throw some actual first hand experience here since most posting in here dont seem to have any. I was tuned about 2 months ago. I daily drive my car and it drives just fine. Like Shiv said, I can wipe out cars with the same mods with just a different tune. I'm not saying that's just the car because maybe it's the driver. I've had a couple issues in the past with the boost acting funny on me and it may be a little tough to get a hold of Shiv when you need to, but considering how busy he is, he still got back to me. However, I think I may be an exception because he says he did'nt get my PM's so it's cool. When I had an issue, Shiv PM'd me and told me to bring my car in and he'd fix the problem and re-tune my car for free. My clutch broke and I JUST got it replaced so I'm going to be calling him up soon to check out my car. But so far, no boost issues, they seemed to have all gone away (I've only had my car back for 2 days though). After my tune, my car runs smoother, pulls harder, and I get better gas mileage. What more could you ask?

He is trusted by Graham Rahal (Bobbys Rahal's son) to tune his car, and you know HE DID his research!!! I say get it done. the only thing "off center" with Shiv is, he wears funny shoes.

Well I have an off the shelf SMART map for 93. I'm very happy with the car. What I would like to happen is to have Shiv custom tune this car. Any chance Shiv may be heading near Cincinnati, Ohio? I can make the drive it's faily close (a few states..heh!)

Hey smoked, I should be seeing you in October with Greg. Looking forward to seeing the car and you for the first time.

I can't wait either, should I allow for more "floor space?" I get to run the car every now and then, and this would be an event NOT TO MISS!!!

I once met Shiv, ages ago and he seems a nice fellow. I didn't notice the suspect footwear at that time, however. Seriously, I live outside the U.S. so I haven't had the privelege of him tuning my car. I am fully satisfied with the topnotch quality of his products, such as my XEDE and etc.

Also, the Vishnu staff have all been super helpful. I don't put much stock in rumour mongering and hearsay. This guy is honest and straightforward and a major asset to Evos and the automotive community in general.

Shiv's tuned both of my Evo's as well and I am very satisfied with the outcome of both cars. In regards to my '03 VIII, that car drove strong for two years with 25k worth of V390 miles on it. I'd still have that car today if it wasn't for an accident

Man, I forgot about the Prada shoes back in the day. That alone is enough to make someone suspect. Add in the fact he's from the Bay Area and well, I think you get the picture.

It sounds like it might have been some hearsay, I've always heard great things about Shiv and Vishnu. After hearing great things I just wrote Vishnu to schedule an appointment for my tune. I figure everyone is going to have something positive or negative to say about something.

Yes we were mentioned on that site ..but at least we werent on the title ... We left that for shiv ....

I would be assured that if shiv is tuning your car ... you are in good hands.
