hi freinds tomorrow i will have a compression test on my evo!
question:
i have a stage1 so my cam gears are set at -5,-5 will this affect my readings of my compression test, do i move the camgears to 0,0 or i will be fine and i go ahead and do it?????????????

well i did the compression test and this are the results:
1cy---162psi
2cy---162psi
3cy---162psi
4cy---164psi

i think its great cause ive been roadracing,streetracing and track racing my car since it passed the 1250miles then i modded my car at 5500miles and my car has 14700miles.
i did this test cause i always drive like a madman always reving to redline and pushing my car to its limit.
but i do the proper maintenance at time, i always change my engine oil every 3000miles
check plugs and all filters..

I have about the same readings. I drive like you too.

But, I have 58,000 miles. My car has had cams, cam gears and more since 3,000 miles. Always with an Xede and a Shiv tune. I just got my 4th Shiv tune last month.

 

good to know,so my engine will last a long time!
