You should do your research before coming on here and posting this basic of a question. There are PLENTY of satisfied customers with xflashed IXs.......I'm still stoked with my Stage 1+ tuned VIII from Vishnu.

Yes Vishnu has some good products and services.

I still love my Xede.

Plus ...

Allthough I don't have this kit, I sometimes consider getting it.

I know of no other kit that is so complete. The Stage Two offers
power, stealth and spool-up. The numbers and performance appear
to be amazing. All without a standalone.

It's worth it. Vishnu's products are for people who never want to have to worry about whether they were tuned well or just tuned.

Vishnu brings expertise and transparency to the table.

Expertise comes from tuning that combines both theory and practice. You'll find a lot of tune merchants that are "expert" at one or the other, but what emerges when both are combined is a product backed by experience and science. Yes, that's right, science. Sweating all the variables, and more importantly, knowing which ones don't contribute to the equation. Principle and intuition.

Transparency comes from the tuner's honesty about what your car is doing and what the tune and products are doing with your car. A lot of tuners sell their products and services as "black boxes" that are just supposed to do a job and that's that. For most people that's fine, the mindset suits the average customer (who just wants to go faster) and the average tuner (who just wants to sell product). Take a look at any number of the technical articles/case studies/XEDE technology postings posted in the Vishnu forum over the past 3 years. What becomes clear is that Vishnu wants to do more than sell you products, they want to show you why they're so excited about them and why they work so well.

My two cents. Vishnu customer since June 2003.

Pat,

Get the flash, you WON'T be disapponted. The only thing Shiv will do it tell you to get rid of the intake and MBC... Which if you want a good explanation why, let me know... I can send you my number on MySpace and we can chat, or if you have Jess' number give her a call and get my number from her...

750? No way. You can get it done for half that price nowadays especially with ECUFlash.

I have been wondering if this flash from vishnu is worth the money as well. I think the way to go if you are serious about getting some real gains in whp on your IX you should get the next stage up from just the flash, the flash and exhaust =305whp on 91 octane proven.

I have scene other tuners on this forum offering ECU tunes for as little as 50 bucks if you have the cable and laptop with the program you can do it all through email. BUT i have never heard of gains like vishnu has with as little done to the car. 40 whp in just flash and 75 whp gain with the exhaust is rare from most other tuners. Go Vishnu.

They are a very respectable tuner. They do have some great products but before I spent the $750 and I would definately also consider comparing other tuners and their prices.

I haven't heard much of safety/ reliability issues with them but they do a have a price tag to consider though...

Buy the Tactric cable for $90, get the Jestr M1 eflash for $50, and remove the pill from the vacuum hose yourself(this will make the biggest difference). Same thing for ~$150.

Seriously, I'm not even sold on the 'passive boost emulator'. Having had to remove my pill myself, I think that it's easier for them to just cut the end of the hose with the pill, and use a connector and bit of hose to re-connect it. I get the impression that the PBE is just a connector.

And like I've said before, I raced my co-worker's v380 IX GSR when my IX SE was stock, and they're identical. Huge, huge disappointment.

If you raced your friend's tuned car with your untuned car and they were equally fast, something was drastically wrong with the tuned car, not necessarily the tune.

He had it looked at by a pretty reputable shop, and they didn't find anything wrong with it physically. The ECU was/is locked, so they couldn't check to see if perhaps they flashed it with the wrong map.
