FS: Never Installed Xede with Smart Evo 8 Harness

Exactly what the title says. I have the xede with the smart package for sale that has never been installed. Never even tried and it is still in the box. I want to get rid of this thing for at least $800. If anyone knows of anyone interested please let me know. Reasonable offers will also be considered.

Lower the price to $500

Yeah but this one is brand new. Everything in original packaging and didn't even attempt to hook it up.

i think the reason for difficulty selling these is this...all of us viii owners that want or need an xede have one and the ix owners are waiting on the procede. good luck with the sale.

free bump

I already have an xede with a 93 map and a conservative 112 map.

How much of a pain woud it be to switch between (read: swap out) two xedes so the second one would have a 93 map and a 116 "tuned to kill" map?

how easy is it to switch between maps while it's running in the car, say maybe between a 93 octane and a 110 octane map? Is it a simple flick of a switch, or is there going under the dash & unplugging envolved?

Very easy. Just flip a toggle switch that you have connected to the Xede.

cool, could i maybe mount the toggle switch in a cut-out panel or somewhere by the dash where it's easily accessible? and when switching from a pump gas map to race gas w/added boost will the Xede control the boost increase or would i need to adjust it on my MBC?

You could mount the toggle switch anywhere you like. The wires that you attach from the Xede to the toggle switch may have to be lengthened. If you want to switch maps quickly, you'll have to have the Xede control the boost. You could still use your MBC, but you'll have to turn the boost up manually when you switch to your race map. You then would have to turn it back down when you switch back to your pump gas map.

yeah, it kinda sounds like it'd be a drag if i switched maps frequently....so if i used my stock boost controller i could just let the Xede manage my pressure increase/decrease between my maps when i flick the switch? this sounds a lot easier for me, and thaks for your help!

Yes, the Xede would work the easiest for map switching if you let it control the boost. I've had mine for over 2 years and really like it. I wish this deal was around when I was first purchasing my Xede.

Sounds good, that's probably the route i'm going to take. Does the restrictor pill need to be removed, and what's a good price on a used Xede system?
