Anyhow, these built cars aren't what MP5 is interested in, and that's fine.
96 Talon TSi AWD stock motor, head, and trans.
11.97 @ 116.7
This is inline with what I would like on race gas. Im not a big drag racer but 115 in 12 seconds is great.
All on the stock driveline too
j/k with you Hor thanks for your #s and no I do not hate DSMs. But you are definately one of the more level
headed ones

Just in case anyone is interested, I tuned a Honda drag car yesterday. First two pulls made 420wheel hp with horrible misfire above 6000rpm. I selected the entire fuel map with my mouse, scaled the fuel curve up by 120% and the next run it made 600whp (or about 700whp on a Dynojet). On the fourth run, we called it quits since it turned out the FPR wasn't seeing manifold boost and the wastegate was improperly configured. Probably the worse example of tuning and parts selection I've ever seen. I wouldn't even put my sticker on it until it comes back properly set up. But it should run 9s so I guess it's the GREATEST!!

You guys are real class acts!!!!!!!! Keep up the insults and personal attacks - its about all you got left as on the performance and speed topics I got you covered by a very large margin
BTW -- my Evo 8 could pump out well over 450 whp on 94 pump gas

We love you AL! Happy Halloween!!
Oh my god. Is that big AL in you pic? if it is that's some funny ****. Okay now lets say this, What about the cams on some 100 unleded gas, then 116? Could I run all day at the track with 116 if I pull the cat? Also anyone know if shiv is going to make a map for this? I would like 400 whp for the road race track. I will pay for the gas just need to know if he is going to make a map for it.

Hiya,
I've already mapped our Stage 1+ shop car for both 91 octane and 110 octane. Made 260 and 290whp respectively on *our* dyno. I would like to do a few more Stage 1+ cars though, before I post up the maps and consider them safe and sound. Give it a little time... the cams were just put in a couple of days ago.

Do you feel these maps will be okay for road racing? Also 290 on your dyno = about 400+ flywheel?

Race fuel
Hi Shiv and all,
Now that the long hot summer is gone in in Southern California, I'm enjoying that noticable difference in power that cooler air makes. Has anyone else experienced the very noticible difference cool weather makes?
I have mixed 103 octane unleaded VP motor sport fuel with pump 91 to see how 93 to 94 octane feels like. Unfortunately, it feels mostly like I wasted 30 bucks for 5 gallons of gas. I can get leaded 110 fuel for a much better price and because of its high octane, I don't have to mix as much. Do I risk screwing up anything in my engine or ruining my cat conv for future smog checks by mixing a couple of gallons of leaded race fuel with pump gas?
Finally, I'm ready to get the stage sub-zero for my evo. Is there still a long wait for delivery like I've read in other posts?
