The Xede xedeeded everyone's expectations
I recently posted about the st louis dyno day in the evo general section. BUt I will give an overview here.
I did not get a baseline but it should be around 209-215 on the dyno dynamics, similar to what shiv uses I believe. I put the xede on and we ran 1 run with a baseline map, 226whp
with a 91 octane map, so around 16 whp for just slapping the thing on wow that is not bad. Here comes the good part. With 30 minutes of tuning with axis racing and shiv via cell phone. we put down 245-6 whp
with JUST the xede and a 93 map he tuned during the huoston dyno day. Ron at axis basically smoothed out the curveline for my exact car. I about wet myself. We did about 6-8 runs where we safely and consistanly ran 242whp with smooth and straight curves on the dyno sheet. It may have been possible to get more, but after about 12 pulls on the dyno my car was getting hot.
For anyone who wants proof of the VISHNU xede's power there you go, around 35whp with somthing that took 20 minutes to put on. I was putting down more power than cars with the p2 + other mods such as t-back exhaust, air intakes and others.
I believe I had about the 4th or 5th highest dyno from what I saw, and I had the least mods on my car. The xede layed the smackdown for sure.
For anybody waiting on an xede keep waiting it is AMAZING the difference in just one part. And if you have not had it tuned do so it made a difference as well.
ALSO SHiv was EXTREMELY helpful in helping tune my car and answer my q's. I called him about 10 times and he was friendly and helpful everytime. A stage 1 kit from shiv could have possibly been enough to be the most potent car there. When I get my stage 1 I will go back and tune it again.
The only bad part about it is that my car pulls harder on the top end and with no cruise control I kept hitting 100mph on the way home and not even notice.
If you have question about which part to buy for the gains the xede is a A+ choice. And if you live close to axis racing, go and get your car tuned. They were very knowledgeable and have a NICE dyno!!!
thanks shiv

That 246whp run was on a map that I preloaded into the XEDE. Same map that I used in TX on Mr. Dubois' stock EVO. The first map that Ron tried out was a detuned 91 octane map which I loaded in "just in case"
BTW, I heard the smack being layeth from over the phone. Good job Sano!

wow so just the stock 93oct map make 246? That's nice. I think you posted somewhere that you are only getting about a 10hp difference now on the trips. Now get them cams going. I want a intake to. :-)

I must agree, the stage one tuned by Shiv on my Evo is awesome. I have a station in town that sells 100 unleaded at the pump. Now that the weather is cooler, the 100 + the 100 octane map + stage 1 makes the car haul ***. The bolt on Exede is great, but Shiv's tuning makes the difference. My car did 252 WHP on Shiv's dyno on 91. BRING ON STAGE 2!!!!!!

So Shiv, I noticed that someone else tuned the car, but you helped over the phone. Did they actually tune(
) it or did you just tell them to upload a better map that you already had made. I know that you will not be coming over to Texas until sping sometime, and I am looking for the best option of getting this baby tuned the right way(custom dyno tune of the xede)!!! Please, Please, Please let me know what your thoughts are on this. I love what all these guys are saying about their results.
And if it was a custom dyno tune do you recommend anyone in Texas?

You just let MP5 get his grubby proboscis in it- Ill fix you up all proper like
Ron at axis racing basically loaded a map that shiv tuned in texas. Once loaded ron did a little tweeking to make it fit my car more perfectly. The initial map was 245.6, but it had a couple little spikes in the dyno line. So ron just smoothed the line and had me running 242-243whp with a really smooth line. If I am wrong about it shiv can correct me but I believe that is what went down.

Hey MP5, while I am waiting for Shiv to respond to my post can you answe something for me. Have you noticed any change in your gas mileage(good or bad) with the XEDE dyno tuned for your car.
Hey if I thought we could tune this baby ourselves I would be all for it.
