I think i'll stick with making shifters.....

Hooked up with Shiv today. we were trying to figure out why i was getting strange clicking noise from the relay.. well dumbass me picked the wrong green wire to connect to the relay.
we believe that I hooked the xede to the idle control.

now the idle is rock solid and the power is amazing.

Thanks
Shiv

i'll go back to welding shifters and let you keep tuning the cars LOL

PS got a ride in the stage 2 car OMFG!!!!!

I can beat that - I had the harness boost input shorted to the relay output for a while. Made a pretty cool noise.

I did the same thing. There are actually two light green wires. Luckily I realized my mistake before running the car.

By the way, I just installed a set of your exhaust hangers on my Vishnu Signature setup. Very nice.

I was going to install the Xede in the next few days... Is there any way to insure that you pick the correct green wire, instead of the idle control??? Thanks

Best bet is to locate the wire by color and location in this diagram [pin 11 in leftmost connector]:

I tried the diag but it just confused me more. Anyways, mine clicks like a mother sometimes as well but I am pushing 19 pounds so I am pretty sure I picked the right wire.

I used the PDF version of this.

Yep, the other green wire is idle control (pin 17 or 18, I forget which). I always remember the correct green wire as being the 3rd in from the end on the side with the little push-in tabs.

Cheers,
shiv

Ah... that was just the pump gas map. Running race gas, with the race gas map switched on, is worth another 150whp

You know my car idles like crap, like so bad it will stall if I don't hold the gas for 1-2min till it's a little warm. Anyone know where I can get a pin out as well as what color wire goes where? I need to go over mine to make sure it's correct.

that sounds just like what was happening to my car.

now when your car is running and up to temp. lightly press the throttle then back off. does the relay click a lot? then you have the wrone wire like i did.

take the wire from the opposite side of the white cap.

Tom
