Stage Ones with cams put down 340-345whp

Also any dyno charts?

In CO, due to the super high altitude, SAE correction factor was a big fat ~1.2 which means that the cars which put down an SAE corrected 345, really made 345/1.2 at the wheels. The SAE correction is simply to estimate what power the car *should* theoretically put down at sea level under standard conditions. It's nothing more than an estimate and questionable at best. The 300 the car is putting down on our DD dyno is actual and essentialy uncorrected (CF of .99) which puts it close to 400 crank hp by most reasonable estimates. Maybe 10 or so more hp if we were to replace the at with a test pipe.

Got some more Stage 1 cars to do today and tomorrow. Should have more updated Stage 1+ baseline which I'll then circulate.

Cheers,
shiv

Shiv:

What was the cam setting?

In CO you ended up at -2 degrees I believe. Since Diane's EVO was one of the early ones you dyno'd in CO we are still at -3 degrees. I'd like to make that small adjustment if you recommend it.

You're the BEST!!!

By the way, could you recommend a high-flow cat?

I LOVE THIS CAR. Near full boost at 3300rpm and 3000rpm of meat in the torque curve means this is a DWIW (do what I want) machine.

I guess I need to get cam gears, or should I just have it at -2/-2 when I install the cams?

Now I'm debating whether to get the X-Flash or go with the XEDE and XEDE- Flash. After stage one, I'll probably stick w that set-up until I graduate (Summer or Fall 2004). Then its sky is the limit from there

What do you guys think?

When I get a stage 1+, how much HP or drivability will I be leaving on the table by only running the xflash vs the xflash/xede combo on 91 octane?

Shiv says he can tune them pretty close. The only real disadvantage (and he mighta figured it out already) is the knock attenuation

Thanks, I am really looking forward to the knock feature along with the 02 reading ability of the xede.

Those are 2 features too tough to live without.

I am sure a self learning timap ability is soon to come down the pike to produce a perfect timap for a best power traf produced by shiv. I am also thinking about how valuable this will be for partial throttle driving as well as WOT

EZ,
My 264/272 cams are being installed next Thursday down here at RRE. I am currently running the stage 1 xedeflash. Is my flash the same as a stage 1+ flash? I really want to steal your 91 and 100 maps from you and have them in my xede when I drop it off next Wed. They are going to also adjust my cam gears from -5 to -2.

I'm really excited and want everything worked out in advance. I also got the Walboro fuel pump which I'll install myself when it arrives.

Here's the big questions: 1. Will you email them to me (smogrunner at comcast dot net) and 2. Is there anything about your maps that make them incompatible my evo. (firmware update for example)

Hope to hear from you soon,

Smogrunner

For stage 1+, I've read that it's recommended to upgrade the fuel pump... any recommendation for injectors?
