Hey MP5, I found the same rod at a hardware store here in Dallas called Elliots, but check with any Lowe's or Home Depot, I do not think that it is a very rare item. If it is let me know, I can either get another and send it to you or I can have one for when you come down for the Vishnu Dyno Day, just depends on when you need it.

I can cut it down, hell, I can just send you half of mine. I don't think that I have a use for three feet of it either. See if you can find it locally and if not let me know and I'll get it in the mail. Hey Beltran, did you notice any changes with the new turbo? You may have already posted this info, I just have not caught it so if you did just give me the link. How much and where did you aquire such a beast?

It definitely spools faster, and the turbo feels light. The engine sounds more free-flowing becuase it is a lot lighter. It has the same peak if not a little less than stock, but that is probably around 23-24 psi. I can definitely say that the Ti turbo is made for the EVO.
I got it from Japan off-of a TME EVO VI. Its a direct bolt on as well. The turbo was in excellent condition when I got it.

Make sure you hand-tight the bolt first. Gradually torque it in one you feel it pushing the tensioner, the factory says turn it 30 degrees per minute. The rod WILL BEND if you torque it too much or you dont wait till the tensioer settles.
MP5. Are you around SA as well? I know of at least 5 EVOs around here but I only met one of them and he's a 35 yr old mexican national. He also used to drive a Carrera RS!!! He loves his EVO better!

I actually want to take some driving lessons so I can confidently do 360s and drifts. I'll probably baby my car if I go rallying without any experience. Street Racing, well thats another story
.
STi
I want to race some STIs as well. I met a guy with one and he wanted to race me for money, but I was at work. I will find them and destroy them!!!

How long of a drive is that from SA? Isnt it like 5 hours or something? I went there before and saw a lot of race-prepped Porsches. Awesome. I used to have an 84 Carrera before this car. The Porsche was good, but the EVO is better.
I think its all about the turbo though.

I might have to take you up on some of that good driving, I have been there a couple of times with the Maverick Region Porsche club as my father has a C2 and my g/f's uncle has a 930, he actually leads and puts the tours togather so I may have to bring them with me so that we can have a local show us where the really good hidden roads are.
Our next tour down there is April 2-4, I can talk to you more about it at the dyno day, you might want to run around with us some.
