How long of a drive is that from SA? Isnt it like 5 hours or something? I went there before and saw a lot of race-prepped Porsches. Awesome. I used to have an 84 Carrera before this car. The Porsche was good, but the EVO is better.
I think its all about the turbo though.

Another friend of mine advised me not to go when musclecars run, because most of them run 10s!!! He said it would be embarassing to run 12s.
I want to go when imports go just to practice.
When are you going to install your gears/cams?

I may need to hit the track as well, I have not done it yet but some of those Porsche guys are out at TMS a lot and they have been trying to get me to go. My little Evo has been able to at abare miniumum hang with any car that has gone on the tours and for the most part outright own them. Now, don't get me wrong, up to now the new turbo's could walk me at the higher speeds, I am hopeing to close that gap after the dyno day, but as far as hadeling and braking goes, there was not a car there that could shake me. The Porsche guys were actually very impressed with the car which is why I have had the invites to TMS. There were certain hard corners in Arkasaws when the guy behind me said at times both inside wheels would momentarily loose contact with terra firma.
But no matter how hard I pushed it the car remained composed, even when hanging the rear out in the rain, it never felt darty or nervous, just immenently contollable.

Hey, what camber are you two running right now? I have the front set up at 1.3 degree's and the rear at 1.0 degree. The insides of the tire wore out a bit quiker than the out, but I would not think this too exesive?
Oh, 0 toe front and rear.
Oh, 0 toe front and rear.
Yes, but that is why the driving is so good up there!! There really has not been too much traffic to contend with when we go late Oct/early Nov. We are going to go sometime this summer as we invabiably hit inclimite weather that late in the year. And everyone who goes is from the DFW area. Last time we were there we asked where the nearest P dealership was and they told us Dallas!

Damn, thats a lot in the front! I might have to add a little toe in the front as well. It is time to pull myself away from the keyboard, let me know if you need the threaded rod and I will send it to you.
