Okay what does this raise the boost cut too? Also I am doing the pump and just wondering what the max boost I can run?

there is another page on his site with this imfo.

I believe it is between 20-21 from 4k-5k then tappers to 18 or so to redline.

There are so many questions about the Xede and Xflash.. maybe it's time for a stickied FAQ in the Vishnu section? A little work now will save a lot of continuous work.

I asked this question a while back... is there any way to quantify where. if anywhere, the fuel cut has been moved to? Ryan, do you have xedeflash already? or are you thinking of ordering it?

Hi guys,
The boost cut is not removed. But it's been raised to 25-28psi depending on associated mods. This is because the boost cut is actually triggered by MAF, not boost. As such, MAF and boost don't always go hand-in-hand and depend upon what level of free flow mods are on the car.

Cheers,
shiv

Thanks Shiv, so you think if I have the Stage 1+ with the fuel pump 24PSI would be okay? Also is the xede mapped that high to handle the boost?

I am confused .....I thought the xedeflash raised the factory fuel cut which is induced by the MAF signal value? I wanted to know where to, because with the stock ECU fuel cut happens at circa 23psi.....I know the boost ceiling is raised to around 25 psi from 19.5 with the removal of the restricter pill prior to the factory boost solenoid... I have read this thread a few times and I think I am asking something different to Ryan....

I know with the Dynoflash it is set at 7800rpm. I like the sound of having the ability to adjust the Boost tables in the Factory Ecu. Sounds like it would be a great alternative once you get the software for home changes of boost and A/F I dont know if I would want to mess with the timing . Please let us know, Please no bashing of what is better or worse just simple mine has this please I dont want to destroy a good informative thread.

So the Xflash raises boost to 25-28 psi?????? Isnt this a litle too much?

I thought Shiv told me the X flash went to 20-21 for a brief moment then settled to around 18 at redline?

This is getting strange?

Guys, fuel cut or boost cut is the level of airflow at which the ECU will shut down the injectors. When you hit it, you are usually at WOT with raised boost. When fuel cut hits, it feels like you hit a freaking brick wall.

Boost control and "boost cut" are two entirely different things. That is why I like calling it fuel cut. When the ECU sees too much air entering the engine, it turns off the injectors. In other words, it cuts fuel. It is an engine safety feature to keep the engine from destroying itself in the event of a wastegate malfunction.

Raising the fuel cut level does not mean that boost is raised. It just means that you CAN raise boost without hitting fuel cut.

The boost tables are what control the boost.
