For those who want to tune themselves
At this point I'm sorry that I sold my XEDE for the PowerFC. I know that it tuned correctly, they both have the ability to make a sh*t load of power. Shiv, it would be a good idea in the future to let people know what's in store for the future. You could have probably saved more than a few converts over time. just my .02........

4) 100samples/ second datalogging
5) Tuning alerts for over-knock, over-boost, over-rev, too lean, etc,.
6) New engine monitor screen with constant graphical logging.
7) And a few other neat things
It will be a firmware update only. It will be updateable by the user using XUpdate. Software will be downloadable off the web. Currently working on the tuner data display at the moment. Suggestions welcome

I really like the idea of having a remote status light indicator similar to the one found on the Xede unit itself so you know whats going on if it failed to boot or lose power or something as well.
-The shift light is a cool Idea
-Having some sort of data screen that could be mounted to monitor stuff permanently is a great idea. I'd go for it if reasonably priced. (we couldn't expect that to be a free upgrade)
To add to the screen idea..it would also be cool if the switch for the different maps were incorporated somehow....haha just throwing out ideas

And what about those "launch controls"? .....I'm not positive how they are going to be controlled in the final release of V3, but could you somehow have a remote switch to activate or toggle them on and off? That would be kinda cool.
I would kill just to be able to see the what the ECU is reading for knock and what it's doing with timing. And a decent (seperate color for each bank) remote status light. Sometimes it is a real pain to remember which color green is the 91 "safety" map - at least without hooking up the laptop.
If I were to do this over again, I would probably go with a PowerFC and the Datalogit box and software despite the issues that can come up when running a stand alone (and added cost). Spending almost a year trying to tune without the basics has been really frustrating at times. The XEDE was an awsome solution for me right up until I strayed from the "Vishnu Path", once off the path it's been pretty lonely out here. When I've called you guys (and Andrew from Dyno4mance) have always been fantastic about helping me as well as you can - but phone tuning and diagnostics have their limits.
I really like the XEDE, it's software, and the way it allows the ECU to keep it's saftey net for car, but without knowing what actual values the ECU and XEDE are both seeing and sending, I feel like I've been flying blind. The current set-up isn't giving me or the shops I work with the info they need to help me out.

At this point I'll probably continue to run the set-up I have unless I have more problems. Although I'm almost afraid to think of trying to tune when I decide it's time for a larger turbo.
