Exclamation For those who want to tune themselves

Here's some new additions to soon-to-be-released XMAP v.3:

1) knock logging
2) O2 sensor logging (either factory or wideband sensor)
3) Boost logging (calculated with MAF and RPM)
4) 100samples/ second datalogging
5) Tuning alerts for over-knock, over-boost, over-rev, too lean, etc,.
6) New engine monitor screen with constant graphical logging.
7) And a few other neat things

It will be a firmware update only. It will be updateable by the user using XUpdate. Software will be downloadable off the web. Currently working on the tuner data display at the moment. Suggestions welcome

Cheers,
shiv

Sounds good. I am amazed at how fast some of these new programs are coming out. If I was going to tune myself, I would definitely want the tuning alerts.

BTW, Shiv, my XEDE will be arriving there tomorrow via UPS.

im not sure how it works...

Keep the display unit itself pretty small for flexible mounting options: DIN, on the dashboard, etc. For dash mounting, have the unit be able to flex on its mounting left/right and up/down, like the Defi display units if you've seen them.

Audio/visual warnings (colors etc.)

Remote the XEDE status LED, I hate having status lights I can't see!

Remote the XEDE map switch (any chance for a couple more bank choices in an upcoming firmware release?)

Something to go into the DIN slot down below with the ability to adjust from the panel would kick ***. I would pay for it.

#3 is interesting. How did you figure that one out? Do you use a constant conversion factor, or does it take VE into account?

The constant conversion factor works, but is most accurate in the RPM range from which it was derived.

Shiv = Will these new options enable us or you to possibly tune our car to an even better state than its in if you previously tuned it?? Have you been using these capabilities when you are tuning on the dyno?

Awsome job guys! As for more features; here's a couple from my "blue sky" bag.

A software set shift light trigger would be awsome - or for complete stealth you could flash an existing dash light (door ajar?)

Code to help limit boost drop between WOT shifts would be nice - these trannies don't like to be rushed, and loosing the time it takes to go through the boost-vaccum-boost cycle is a pain on short straights.

I can't wait!

I put mine in my middle A/C vent to be inconspicuous. But it does scare the hell out of passengers when I redline .

Also warning leds could be for any of the tuning alerts Shiv mentioned.

Adjustable rev limiter.

Full Throttle Shift like I have on my Hondata: http://www.hondata.com/featuresshift.html

Oops forgot one - based on Shiv's observations an A/C cutout on full throttle.

Shiv, I'd like an XEDE interface that runs a light current through the passenger seat and sends a repetitious subliminal hypnotic suggestion to my wife: "You want Seth to buy more mods.... You want Seth to buy more mods..."
