Found Problem With Exed

This time when the EXED failed to load a map I checked the status light. It was flashing orange and green together. It was like it was flashing each color many times a second. I got down there any moved the harness around a little bit and checked the ground. Everything seemed OK. I cycled the key and then it loaded the map perfectly! It seems to happen maybe every 30 or 40 key cycles but I cannot say if it is an exact number of times...
I wanted to update everyone about my situation. It’s seems I probably had the most erratic XEDE out of everyone, as I experienced power-on issues everyday, if not several times a day. A few weeks ago, I sent the XEDE back to Vishnu. As soon as Shiv returned from the SuperTuner shootout, I got a PM informing me that he would start working on it immediately. I spoke with him the very next day. Shiv was unable to duplicate the condition on his EVO. Weird! He suspects that the problem is firmware related, stating that some cars may not be compatible with the new firmware.
Tuesday of last week, I received a different XEDE and harness, loaded with the old firmware, 1.6.4 (I think). I installed the XEDE the very next morning, Wednesday. Everything has been working fine since then. To be honest, I have experienced the low boost condition once. I checked the light on the XEDE and it was flashing orange. I immediately pulled over, shut off the car, and restarted – no waiting. The EVO fired up with a green light on the XEDE. Everything was working great. I now feel confident that the frequency of this problem has been reduced enough that I can drive around with glove box attached.
I’m still not sure as to the origin of the problem – XEDE, harness, or firmware, as all were replaced. If Shiv thinks it’s firmware related, I have to acknowledge his expertise. While I would like to have the functions of the new firmware, I would much rather a reliable vehicle. I’m anxiously awaiting the next firmware and Xmap update. I’m also looking forward to the new maps for the plug and play turbo kits. If anyone else has an update, please post it on this thread. I’m curious to know if a firmware change to the older version solved the problem.
Finally, I would like to thank Shiv for fixing this issue a reasonable time frame. Thanks for the good customer service!

EVO-Bandit,
Thanks for the update. FYI, there's a way to hook up a remote LED. It's already a built-in feature. I tried it out and it works
Only thing is I'm trying to locate the proper connectors for the Xede, otherwise it works and is really easy to hook up.
