Found Problem With Exed

About every 10 key cycles or so, the Exed will only allow 12lbs of boost, no matter which map you are using. You can try switching back and forth between maps, no help. You have to actually turn off the key, wait about 5 seconds, then restart the car. Then you have 20lbs of boost again. That is a very strange problem and I have heard other people with this same problem with their Exed. I have a brand new Exed, only about 3 weeks old. Other than that problem, it is awesome...

Mine has done this one time out of several hundred starts. Happened last week. I shut the car off on the road, restarted it, and everything was great.

What version firmware do you guys have? To see which one you have, go to "XEDE information" and see what it says. You want to have 1.7.14

Version 1.7.12 which had that glitch during start-up where you need to key "ON" for a few seconds to let the XEDE maps load up from memory before turning the engine over has been updated to version 1.7.14 which is supposed to be 100% bug free. The older firmware that most people are running 1.6.x is also bug-free and stable.

When low boost happens, is the light green or is it flashing red?

Actually, my XEDE only started doing this after I sent it in to Vishnu for the newest firmware.

I have had this happen too (.8 bar or so)... I haven't looked at the LED's to see what color they are though. The next time it happens, I'll check the colors.

I believe I'm running the latest firmware as well.

I did not check the light status when this happened. I will be sure to check it the next time it does this...

Yes, please check. With enough info, it's pretty easy to diagnose and correct.

Cheers,
shiv

check the ground..... mine used to do it until I did this:

Solder a good terminal to the ground wire (not crimped!)

add a second or third grounding strap to a cleaner ground source

seems to be fixed ever since
