So, what ever became of this? I received no call for confirmation. It's getting really close to the 31st.

I really hope all your hard work will not be wasted. Considering this was tried last year and failed, I'm not holding my breath.

Worse case scenario......giant Dyno day and even more animosity towards VPS.

AFAIK it's still on. PPL from Vishnu have stated in other threads that they will be in Chicago on the 31st...

There will be a dyno day. We'll be making phone calls today and tomorrow for confirmations and deposits.

They have the list; with Bret being gone this may have slipped a bit. I've talked with both Brian and Dave, and things should be getting back on track now.

On a related note - a big and to Shiv and the crew for getting on top of the phone situation. There has been a huge improvement in accessability to staff!

Any suggestions for a decent hotel near the Porsche Exchange?

Hi guys,

Yes, we have made many changes here. With the new additions of David, Sonic/Dustin and Lambtron/Brian, we plan on rocking the house when it comes to customer service and accessability. There may be a few glitches along the way but we are determined to provide the best after sales support in the business. These changes were put in motion months back and I'm happy to see people noticing the results

Best Regards,
Shiv

What happened to the $200 for a reflash and $100 for dyno time? Just got off the phone with someone from vishnu and found out that price only applies to previous customers and not the ones scheduled for an xflash. In other words it was going to cost $395 for the flash and another $100 for dyno time $495 total was looking forward to this but feel mislead by the information that i had. Count me off the list

Dewd, I dunno where you got the idea that you were gonna get an Xflash for $200. It's $200 for a custom tune (read: Shiv working with whatever current setup you have, like for example my XEDE) +$100 for the dyno time.

My understanding was that an Xflash was a custom tune? is it not. Anyways that's too much for a reflash, not knocking it, but it should have been more clear.

doesn't Vishnu do a "cannonball flash" for around $200.00?...this could be where the confusion lies...

They do offer a both a Cannonball flash and an XFlash; I'm not sure on the pricing. Shiv will be able to do the "off the shelf" versions of those flashes for the pricing they have on their website between dyno sessions. No reservation is required for that.

The extra charges are specifically for custom dyno tuning and dyno rental from the Porsche Exchange. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding, I tried to make all the costs clear up front.

The Cannonball is an off-the-shelf flash. It is not custom tunable. If you want a custom tuned reflash, it will be an XFlash. If you purchased the XFlash for the dyno day, custom tuning is free. All you will have to pay for is dyno time to the Porsche Exchange. I also thought this was clear from the start.

I second the notion that the info WAS clear.

$500 is not too much to pay for a custom tune with great software by one of the best Evo tuners out there! Vishnu is doing US a service by coming out...it's not like a premier tuner has to spend his time looking for dyno days filled with custom flashes and dealing with whiny people complaining about already cheap costs to greatly improve their car.
