My guess is BSPT as JDM parts normally employ this thread. If not it is NPT and most likely the part was intended for export.
The oil adapter on the Evo is BSPT. Fitting anything else to the Evo will just wreck the Aluminum threads on the car.
McMaster-Carr has the fittings you need and more than likely you can obtain the part overnight (same day if they have an outlet in town and you pick it up). This assumes that you will want to fit the sensor on the oil block adapter (right above the filter). An alternative is an adapter that permits fitting the sensor in place of the drain plug. The latter location makes changing the oil a pain, as well as reading a little lower with respect to temperature.
I added a great deal of information on this subject to the following thread,

If you can wait until next weekend I have new fittings uninstalled. At a minimum you can try them with your sensor. Just let me know if I should bring them.
Note that I have yet to pull the Mitsubishi gauges out of the car in favor of something else such as Omori or Defi. The PSI3 unit that I ordered was not compatible with our dash board and I didn't want to wait. Then other issues came up and I haven't had time to deal with the gauge issue....

yea the adaptor right above the oil filter is tightly tightly stuck on there and i couldnt get it off. I dont think that the sensor that came with the omori gauges will fit in there. If anyone from vishnu could help us on how to get it to fit that would be great.
