Thanks alot for the info. One more question why does the Xede use a serial port and not USB..... it took me a long time to find a loptop with a serial port.

If your laptop doesn’t have a serial port you can use a USB to serial converter, they are about $18.00.

I think most aftermarket ECU stuff still uses a serial because everyone has one on there computer. USB has been out for about 8 years now.

Be careful here, check with Vishnu and make sure this one works with the XEDE, its a bit picky on the USB to 9pin serial converters.

Do a search on the USB adapters, there are about 4 brands that work consistently, the rest are just a waste of money. I've written a bunch about it in other threads.

I'd really love to, but the Army thinks it better that I should be in the republic of Korea for a year instead. I'm seriously thinking about sending my wife in my car and having cams and a fuel pump installed and tuned as a stage 1+. Do me a favor Andrew and PM me what you'd charge for labor to install the above. Figure it might be the least I can do since my car is gonna sit for a year at the in-laws house anyway. Just have to see how the wife feels about spoiling the sausage festival, maybe Kelly will be there again with that cute little girl of yours...
