not much difference in 93 & 100 map at track

1/8 mile

previous best - 8.19 @86.05 1.72 60ft - 80 degrees 65% humidity

after cam & gear install

tonight - 7.82 @88.44 1.70 60ft - 65 degrees - not much humidity

very pleased - i only picked up a tenth when switching from 93 octane map to the 100 octane map. thought it would be more. i do not have the flash yet. i made 6 passes 3 each map. 35 minutes cool down between runs. alternating maps. never more than .14 quicker. most of the the runs were .07 - .10.

60ft's pretty close thru out.

any thoughts?

.14 does translate into 2 tenths in the 1/4. however, most of the runs were under a tenth. i thought most guys were picking up more than that.

i do not really feel much of a difference. i know everybody complains about trunning out of 100 octane and having to go back to 91 or 93, so i thought i would feel a difference. maybe my butt dyno need calibration!

i am very happy with the times. they translate to 12.2x in the 1/4, so not to bad.

stage 3 here i come.

Actually its much more than that the back half its not uncommon to pick up quite alot due to gearing and load on the car. also 2.4 MPH in the 1/8th is pretty good with just different gas IMO

What state are you in? Is it not long enough to have a full 1/4 mile drag strip

shiv - we just figure half the track double the runs! - i do have a 1/4 mile track about 100 miles away. the 1/8 is about 5 miles. i will be getting to the 1/4 on thursday.

thanks again to everyone at vishnu. cant wait to get the stage 3. trying to convince my wife that i need it before xmas. however, she wants a supercharger or turbo for her svt, and since i have spent the GDP of a small 3rd world country on my evo in the last 60 days, she will probably see her kit first.
