How can I update my firware at home?

Shiv, David, Tron, can you guys write a step by step process to upgrade my exede w/ the new firmware. I just installed my 272's and I am now part of the Stage 1+ club, but my idle seems to be very low. Other than that, my car rocks and it now sounds like I got a Hemi under the hood. I would love to be able to download the upgrade and just upload it into the Exede. Any ideas would help.

Thanks, Gnulooks...

Well, since you didnt ask me....I guess i will answer. Currently, a home update is not an option. (There is a chance it might be in the future) However, you can send it into us for a free update. Can you please tell me what firmware you are running now?

Please make this an option... if people do get to the point where they are doing 1+ and then find they have to send the xede back, what do they do in the meantime? Car runs like **** I'm assuming? Firmware flash would be great.. as well as the latest firmware version posted somewhere so we can look and see if we are current or not. I looked everywhere on your site for it but couldn't find it.

Sorry Dustin, I probably confused you and David as being the same person. I am not sure what firmware I am running. I bought me Exede back in February, if that helps any...

Xede, not Exede.
Firmware, not firwarm or firware. (looks like you got it right in the posts....)

The latest ver. is 1.72 IIRC. The firmware update is not as simple as just loading it in with the laptop. It involves adding another powerwire, and a few other things.

Will all people using Xedes at the upcoming Jersey and the Georgia dyno days be installed with the new firmware?
I know this has been asked before but is launch control perfected and will this be available to the masses yet?

Man I mispelled a word, it's all because I was drinking Smoggy's home made brew last night. Oh, wait a minute he's out of beer, it must have been my own stash...

I have run my car for over a week without the xede, it runs fine. You do need to watch your boost though but you can drive it easy without a problem. Oh and I do have a 1+
