New product-HKS downpipe

HKS does it again! What you've come to expect from a high performance, high quality company with a strong racing heritage in Japan.

HKS stainless steel downpipe is a direct replacement for your factory unit. With thick machined flanges and 2.5 inch piping, you will gain a huge horsepower increase with replacement of this piece. There is NO Flex Joint on this downpipe.

This down pipe will bolt right up to the stock exhaust as well as most aftermarket exhausts.

$499.99 instock and ready to ship

Curious also. I don't want to buy something that later I will need to "technically" upgrade.

The only reason your CEL will come on is if you remove the CAT and use a test pipe (off road pipe). A down pipe will not make it come on.

The HKS comes in 2.5 to create more torque, they will not make a 3inch.

The CEL will come on if you remove a cat only. If you want to go catless, get the Perrin cat delete pipe with CEL eliminator and you will have MORE power and no worries.

We sell it all!!!

what about a hks down pipe and the ultimate racing cat. It garantee's no cel as well. I also heard removing the cat with a strait pipe, people are actually losing HP is that true.

I've never seen a vehicle that had the cat removed and lost h/p. It's the most restrictive part of the exhaust. Removing it definetly adds h/p.

Wrong Vivid ........they do make a 3" dp but it is only avail. with their GT 3240 turbo kit. What do you think Norris Designs 608hp evo is running a 2.5" HKS dp? Heck no man ... and yes it does have an HKS dp.

People I have the HKS 2.5" dp and understand that it is the PERFECT upgrade if you DO NOT intend to AT LEAST upgrade your turbo o2 housing to 3". In other words, upgrading to a 3" dp over a 2.5" dp is pointless unless you plan to upgrade to a larger turbo or at least enlarge the outlet (o2 housing).

That should work fine .....

[i] I also heard removing the cat with a strait pipe, people are actually losing HP is that true.
I actually tested this .... off the dyno & on the street where it counts. I have an HKS dp and thermal cat-back ... and I swapped an RMR test pipe with the stock cat. I could definitely feel that the test pipe out-flowed the stock cat, and it was mostly noticable when I was boosting ... however, HOWEVER, the difference was not huge and the car just flat out stinks like gas BADLEY without the cat off .... I mean it bothered the crap out of me ... on really hot days, I could smell it from inside the car sometimes. Also, it doesn't sound as nice IMO without the cat .... at least in my set-up. It just sounded way too loud & basey. But my set-up sounds great w/ the cat on.
