Water injection and EGT

Anyone gotten any correlation or data with spraying water and the EGT they are getting ??

I would assume that you'd get lower temps when you spray given the fact that ignition is advanced quite a fair bit

I'm getting around 880-920degrees C at the manifold side with no ignition advance ..

I've also found out overspraying can put out the fire in your car (literally) .. so make sure you're running a good ignition system !!

300cc at 1.8bar at 6000rpms = BAD misfire !!
Also due to bad plugs .. that's one of the reasons why I can only see about 2-3 degrees advance only !! (hopefully)

I never seen my egt rise above 900C with ~11 degrees at peak tq. Totally agree about the misfire! @17v/v% water to fuel. A ignition amplifier like the HKS DLI II or the COP(used by bishiboy) helps fix the problem. It helps to close down the spark gap too.

More timing advance-leaner burn(quicker burn), the combustion occurs within engine, not in the exhaust manifold.

well I'm running the DLi .. yet I get misfires

at peak torque I'm (around 4500rpms) I'm seeing about 800C .. but at 7500rpms I'm seeing 920C or so .. at 1.7bar 11.2AFR with 17-18degrees advance timing
