I don't want to sound like smart *** here but I haven't seen many alcohol kits ounted on the engine bay on the 05, most of the ones that I have seen were mounted on the trunk and on the rear left quarter panel/fender.

I once spoke with PD Nick #2 and they told me that could perhaps order me the correct custom tank size given the dimension of any free space in the engine compartment/bay

Unfortunately unless you are running a mini battery kit and a cone filter you wouln't find suficient and practical space to install the tank on the engine bay.

If you have an O5, the SMC with one gallon tank is fiting inthe rear left quarter like a glove in your hand, I highly suggest it.

Here are some pics that I posted of the alcohol kit installed, it is 100% concealed and stealthy

I second the smc kit in the 05. Mine fits perfect and, thanks to ndGSX, I will post pictures of my rather unique custom install within the week. Stay tuned.

6 months ago these SMC kit look horrible on the 05 trunk, they were being sold with the 2.5 gallon tanks mounted on the actual trunk floor with nall the wires exposed, all the ugly brackets and definately an undesirable looks.

It was upon smart and ingenius Evo Owner and the vendors listening the suggestions to make this kit a much nicer and compact kit.

The vendors started improving and adding more stain steel line lenght and compact 1 gallon tank to the point that the fittment was secure and reliable.

Today the 05 SMC kit is as desirable as the 03(given the disavantage of not having the o3 stock intercooler sprayer tank on the 05).

Definately , SMC for the 05 is right now one of the most trusted kits in the market needs nothing but a fail safe mechanism but still works fine though..

Depending on your mix, you can use both. Actually both our front and rear pumps are working along with the meth. I would estimate you could use up to 50/50 still on the windows as methonal is a main ingredient in washer fluid anyway.

We use 100% so we don't use the sprayers, but yes they still work.

Didn't even think of that, that could make for one sleeper of a setup if you hid the pump.

TTp, clean install, but the pump is exposed, the SMC kits leave the pump hidden behind the carpet.

Juiced, if you want a good deal on a SMC kit for a 2005 evo PM me. My name is Steve

I leave it up to the consumer as to where they mount theirs. This client wanted it exposed. The shopcar's is under the carpet.

Show me the SMC kits with 405whp / 445tq on 93oct on the stock twinscroll. Looking nice is one thing, providing dyno proven results is another. Our meth kit has been proven to 34.1psi on the stock turbo.

ct9a gsr made 390whp and 420wtq on stock turbo with SMC kit and dynoflash. if your running 34 psi then that could determine the spike in power. what were you using to tune the car? and were the numbers corrected or not?

The meth kit isnt what made the extra power, thats like saying "well our exhaust was on the car and it made xxwhp" when just about all 3" turbobacks will perform very similar. I was running 29-30 psi on my car, but if i ran 34 psi I might have gotten a higher spike

Simple SAFC. Corrected afaik as the whp peaked higher on the monitor to about 412whp.

Planning to get back to the dyno this month to wrap up stage IV stock turbo mod list.

Is it just a coincidence that your name is Steve and you have a shop's name in your sig referencing Steve? Are you a vendor or a member and if a vendor, why isn't it indicated on your screen name?
