Meth injection is great on a stock turbo setup.

Never2old32,

I hit 30psi but peak, I normally run at around 26psi and I can keep 28PSI steady for a few seconds on 4th , 5th and 6th gear.

The answer to your question about shortening the life of the turbo, yes indeed, you are making the turbo work harder on the same note, I excell on my car maintenance and operation:

I always let the car warm up in the mornings before I hit the gas hard
I always wait at least 30 minutes before I shut down the engine for the turbo to cool down
I always do oil changes at no later than 3k miles
I always use Shyntetic oil
I always clean my air filter regularily

Summarizing, yes I hit the gas hard when I need to but I spoil my car 100% when I can. I have seen some of my friends revin the engine hard while it was cold, shutting down the engine after running hard, not cleaning or changing the air filters periodicly, etc, etc.

Aloha,

I don't want to forecast huge whp/tq yet, I might be embarass if I don't make any significant power but this is the real game, you play you pay. I want a bit more power on my car so I am testing the parts on my own, unfortunately I don't have a sponsor nor I think that I will but for now all the Dyno testing, labor and parts are on my own.

Soontobevo gained 41whp(Dynojet) with same mods and same tuner (Al)with almost identical mods and that was without Alky but again I am a very realistic guy and I have my feet on the floor, I think that mostlikely I will gain whp and tq but I will loose spool up, time will tell, I fully trust Al tunning and I think he will make some decent power on my car.

With the upgraded acuator I assume. Fairly difficult to hold 28psi, even for a few seconds on the stocker, we have the same setup minus the same alky controller

Also in nc alky is like 10bucks a gallon (thats cheapest i can find it) and meth is $2.50 a gallon at local gocart track, This might be why he is going meth, also Meth makes more power right?
Yes , my car is on stock headbolts and studs and is taking the 8100rpm punishment real well so far(I hope it stays that way).

As per the Alcohol vs the Methanol cost, I get the pure denatured alcohol at $7 a gallon. I also heard that Methanol makes more power.

The final decision is made because I have a good friend (Trevor) which has being using Alcohol/methanol for 6 years on his car and he is truly a very experience person on alcohol/methanol system. He is the one that nicely installed my alcohol kit and I fully trust his words on tunning.

I doubt that there is more than 10-15 people on this forum that were using alcohol and draging their cars more than 6 years ago with Alcohol/methanol, my friend showed me his improvements from switching from alcohol to methanol on his car.

Wow, I am paying $3 bucks for Torco Methanol, suppost 99.9% pure from a local source, and no problems, even before with the free treated mix, which smells likie grape koolaid FWIW, the power from what I have seen has been equivalent, although, with the denatured, and easier to get. It is even more expensive now, because people, truckers, are using it in braking systems w/ the cold temps, next month, $2+/- a gallon, can't beat it, and if you don't believe me, I will gladly back up my source, SS Chicago, for who's interested. BTW my headstuds are upgraded for future development

LOL, why wouldn't I believe you?, Off course I do believe you but you haven't discovered the fire though, most people get their Methanol for less than $2.50.

If I am not mistaking Mr Al Friedman mentioned me that he orders 40 gallons at the time in a barrel delivered to his house for dirt cheap.

As far is my $7.00 for alcohol, I am paying about average 40-50% less than Joe smosh, I ordered my supplies from Ace hardware in 5 gallon cans and with additional military discount. Normal price is $11.99 plus tax for a gallon for a normal bystander customer which comes close to $14.

Exactly, find a source that buys in bulk, drop off you 5 gallon tank, it should last almost a season, maybe half j/k. But the 5 minute drive is worth it, to say the least. Absolutely crazy to pay that much for meth for pre-packaged 5-gallon containers.

I am really interested in going with this, but my head is spinning so is Alcohol better or is Methanol, I see one post saying Alcohol is more expensive but Methanol makes more power which should I use? I am probably going to get the kit Al sells that replaces my stock intercooler resivoir.

Methanol typically makes more power but it is corrosive so some people tend not to use it. I personally like 70/30 mix of denatured alcohol and distilled water.

And what all will this screw up down the road. I have my kit, just waiting to instal and have tuned in the spring and I plan to run 100% meth. FWIW...I picked up a 55 gallon drum of meth for 1.80/gallon.

I would like to see conclusive results documenting this.

I think it may be the opposite. It reduces cylinder pressure and EGT temps. EGT temps contribute to spoolup. One would assume hotter EGT would increase spoolup, not lower.
