Methanol corrodes your skin.

All it takes is for it to touch your skin in 100% blend to destroy it by means of evaporating all moisture on contact. I have a layer of skin missing from my fingertips from handling pure meth while priming a customer's pump.

I urge you to pour some on both of your hands and post about the results in a about 4 days if you think 100% meth is "quote=moto17 relatively safe to handle".

Dude, I'm not trying to **** anyone off, but I guess I can see how my previous post might be a little condescending, so I am sorry. I due however stand by what I said, that methanol is safe to handle.

Note that it is toxic and flammable but not corrosive. The only harm it should cause to the skin is through ingestion, but that would take a lot of soaking for many hours.

Exactly sir, they add a little methyl alcohol (methanol) to grain alcohol (ethanol) to denature it (make it poisonous) so you can't drink it (no alcohol taxes) and then call it denatured.

Funny, the govt will make ethanol poisonous so you will die if you try to avoid alcohol taxes.
