Alcohol Injection or Cams???

I'm torn between the two right now, and I'm not sure which mod I should do first. Right now all I have on the car is a tbe. Any input will be appreciated

Do you mean I'll have to keep refilling the alcohol? I don't really boost much around town anyways, so I wouldn't be using much alky. At the track though, that's another story

Yes, not to mention that when it messes up, or if anything were to go wrong you would do damage to your car, this is all on the assumption that if you were to get either one of these options it would include tune, and a boost controller, so if your alk kit messed up under boost your engine would be toast.

Yeah, I would be getting either mod tuned. So pretty much you vote against the alky due to the potential danger involved with running higher boost, and not spraying any alky into the system.

There is a whole bunch of mods you should get before concidering alky, so at this point i would say cams if you're forcing the issue of only these two mods as a possibility.

When you say a whole bunch of mods, do you mean like a fuel pump, or power mods? I already have a mbc, and the fuel pump and arp head studs are on order

I'm torn between the two also. I mean for me it different (IX), I'm thinkin about gettin the TT intake cam. I was considering alky because like KO said, you should have the basics first. I'm ready for it but not sure about you. If all you have is a fuel pump and mbc, then no.
I have two knowledgable friends who helped me decide the risk with alky is not worth it for me. Yes the extra power would be great. Yes there are failsafes to help prevent destroying your engine. But, all it takes is a split second of failure from the pump, the line getting clogged, etc and you could blow it. I'll wait and see what develops in the future, then probably get one.
Exhaust, cams, tune first. Just my .02

I can do both down the road, but not at once. I already purchased an alky kit, but I'm thinking about buying cams and having them installed rather than installing the alky.

Cams all the way. I'm in the same boat but i'm going to get both since they both have to be tuned anyways. On top of that, I also have to throw in a act clutch now to actually put the power to the ground.
