Methonol Injection Should I keep it?

I bought an Evo, and it had a lot of work on it (GT35r turbo, Cams, 2.3 Stroker). It also came with a Methonal Injection kit. When i bought it i knew nothing about Injection kits. (Even that you had to refill them so often). long story short, the motor was tuned for meth, and the tank ran out. So the motor blew. The rod cracked the block left a inch whole in it. What i want to know is. After i get the block replaced should i keep the Meth? And is Meth bad for the engine in the long run? Any help PLEASE.

not any failsafe, a good failsafe that keeps the engine from blowing up
2 excellent failsafes are the aquamist dds3 and the zeitronix

aquamist dds3:
user definable safe operating window: keep watch over high flow (leak in the line, nozzle pop off), low flow(clogged nozzle, kink in the line, worn valves in your pump...) and low tank level.

zeitronix:
monitors egt and afr

Nice of the previous owner to explain it to you so thouroghly. Especially when the tuning relied on the meth injection to prevent detonation (absolute engine destruction). I guess he just assumed you knew how important is was to maintain, and it wouldn't be his problem.

The answer lies within your goals for the car. You can easily run 24-25psi without meth, but if you want more power then its a good idea.

If keeping the meth tank full is too troublesome, ditch it, or like Slowcar said get a better injec. kit with low level sensor.

I have the coolingmist basic system. I have a little led light that turns on when its flowing. It starts to flow at 12psi. I also check my tank along with my engine oil and coolant before I drive off. If the light does not work than I pull over and make sure everything is ok.

a) You don't know how to spell Methanol.
b) No further comments are required.

Darwin's theory in action plain and simple. You have no business owning the car you have. Flame away!

Wow, what a jacka__. It is interesting how you can judge so much from so little. I guess you're just really, really, really smart.

If you are in Orlando you might want to talk to Scott at ttp for a meth fail safe.

You should keep it. Just like everyone else said, get a good failsafe system.
