How long should it take to reach greater 100 psi when I hit the test button? Mine is currently taking about 5 seconds or more. I think I have a problem .

Well I was having an issue with my pressure not going over 75/80psi. SMC quickly and painlessly replaced the pump on my kit. After installing the new pump same thing first test 80psi, second test 40psi, then after that the gauge stops reading any pressure, but the kit is working properly. The gauge is cheap and it *could* be the gauge is faulty as well. I'm going to look into another gauge, cause the kit is spraying a ton of fluid...

That is a sign of pump failure friend. Mine will see 100psi very quickly. On my G/F rex it would take longer so sent the pump in to have it replaced. Steve is great to deal with.

Did a little tuning on my car tonight using AEM EMS and the SMC kit. Using a dyno.mth the graphing registers a 100HP increase and the car feels like a freak. Should hold me over till I get it on the dyno to get more power extracted...

Wait a minute guys! why T--shoot to a faulty pump? it is too early to make speculations. A broken/loose line would consequently make the system to loose pressure.

Perhaps and obstructed line would potencially cause similar effect. He must check the lines first and make sure there is no obstructions nor openings.

Always remember the analogy of the water/fluids/liquids and the electricity, they act in similar ways when it comes to flow.

I know exactly what your problem is, now let me ask you this:

Is it leaking because of the clamp is overstressed and is no longer clamping with enough force? or is it leaking because the rubber hose is cracked/broken?

In the first case just replace the clamp for a stronger one.
On the second case replace the hose, it should be like a 3-4" long hose.

In both cases the fix is fast, cheap and reliable.

I have the same issue and replaced the hose and clamp to no avail. I believe there is a crack in the casing near the output port and where the casing meets. I can see alky coming out of the area after a few test button hits and it will still come out with the vehicle off.

I sure want to get a Meth / ALK kit, but it seems a lot of people have serious issues with their setups and the only ones that don't have problems are on professional / mechanics / guys that are always tinkering with their cars...

Just have it installed by a professional and try and watch them do it. Get a slight idea of how it works. You won't have any problems.

Just check on it every now and then.

Just an FYI, this is the first problem I have had and I have had the kit for 3 years. I would not discount this kit it works well.
