Nozzle options???

I have an underhood SMC kit with the brass nozzle that screws in to the line from inside the UICP. This little crappy nozzle is a PITA to seal and since I am paranoid I would like to replace it with something less threatening. My feed line is a SS braided line. What nozzle options to I have? Vendors?

Please let me know.

I just used some sealant around mine to get a good seal.

Yes I tried some RTV as well but I would prefer a different option. I used to have a Snow Performance kit on my DSM. It came with a threaded nozzle. I picked up a bung at the local hardware store and it worked like a champ. I simply need a nozzle that will attach the SS line and screw form the outside in with a good seal.

the way the smc nozzle is setup..its virtually wont back out or break...its setup real nice..i love my kit...gave me tons of power..
smc sets everything up for ..when snow kits are all seperate peices...

your nozzle is probably fine...just leave it

Interested in something like this? Idea came from Richard@aquamist and SaiKou_Kun, the guy that designed/built the DC3 catchcan, helped with the CAD drawing:

Parts for 1 nozzle:
2 "C" clips - might need a very robust pair of snap-on clip pliers to put then in!
1 Aquamist nozzle, i used the 1mm (500cc/min)
1 swagelok 4mm x 1/8npt
1 pair of swagelok ptfe front/back ferrule
2 part epoxy to weld the swagelok fitting to ensure leak free operation
1 axial mount

Did your SMC kit come with a washer/bushing to place between the nozzle head and the interior of the ic pipe?

I used two of those bushings on my setup. One where I previously mentioned and then the second on the outside of the ic pipe between the brass T fitting. I've had it setup like this for a year now and it just passed a recent boost leak test with no signs of leaking. I used a solution I use at work called "snoop" to squirt around the outside of the ic pipe to make sure no bubbles were forming during the test.

I purchased the kit used but it did come with the washer and rubber gasket. With the help of a little JB Weld on the outside I ended up getting a rock solid seal.

However, I like to check the filter and such every now and then. To do that you have to break the seal and start all over. I'm thinking about running an addition inline filter and was hoping to find a better nozzle solution.

You can go to Home Depot and buy the little washer with the rubber gasket in it. I found them on the hardware isle with all the nuts and bolts in the pull out drawers.

A few possibilities here, might not work with your nozzle and will give you some ideas:
