Meth is indeed a good thing.

Here's my dyno sheet on an EVO8 with just Megan headers, TBE, AMS LICP and 10.5 hotside on Meth. NO other mods were added to the car from before Meth to after Meth. 76whp/73wtq gain!!

I am VERY afraid of a failure in the system even though I have the Snow Performance SafeInjection. I'll probably garage the car most of the time...

Was the car tuned on the before run or was that un-tuned?
Was that the same day?

What mixture do you run?

+1 on Q's...

Also...what boost level? what size nozzle? what stage snow kit?

Failsafe, I think and have heard that the aquamist failsafe setup is much better than the snow unit. What does the snow unit do again when it shows that there is a problem?

Very nice power for an 03 without cams

the snow failsafe (if hooked up to a proper solenoid valve) will cut your boost when it detects a failure.

The only issue is how well the safe injection really reads the flow. Unlike the DDS3 you can not adjust your "safety window" when you buy the safe injection there is a low flow and a high flow model with the windows already pre-configured to the size of the nozzle.

Also unlike Richard, snow does not divulge much info about their safe injection system. I don't even think they will tell you what the exact max and min flow is for each safe injection model. They also don't say if there is a delay built in or how quickly the safe injection responds to changes in flow.

Lastly, without a gauge it is really difficult to see how the snow safe injection really works as the meth is spraying.

When I was deciding which kit to go with, I spoke with the people at snow a lot about how their safe injection works and basically it came down to them saying "trust us, we know what we are doing, it will work" Where as Richard has documentation to show all of his testing and is more than willing to share his results and will post up elaborate diagrams of how things work on the aquamist kits

Before run was on 91 octane and it was indeed tuned.

Was that the same day?
No but temps where pretty close 93F before Meth...and about 85F after Meth.

What mixture do you run?
100% meth.

26psi. I don't know the exact size but the kit came with 3 sizes.. my tuner used the smallest size.

Probably so, but I got what I got. The Snow kit has a module that monitors flow through the meth line. If there is a disruption, it will send a signal to a solenoid that will bring boost back to stock. Will it be too slow under a no flow condition? Probably. But I have it nevertheless. I think all the kits are pretty much a big chance. Only a standalone that can monitor AFRs, boost level, and water injection flow is truly failsafe IMO.

Thanks a bunch! I'm very proud of my VIII!

Boostez - great info, thanks for posting.

Meth really helps a lot when you are on 91 oct. It basically makes the difference between 91 and 93 negligable.

I see your point and understand where you are coming from. I do love how Richard explains with diagrams and factual evidence.

If I didn't have the snowSTG1 one and was on the market i'd jump on the Aquamist wagon.

I will eventually incorporate the DDS3 monitor and incorporate it into my current zeitronix setup.

YOu going to add an o2housing to that setup? CAMs? Upping the boost to 29/30psi?

I will probably leave the car as is for awhile. I got lucky with this VIII powerwise and I don't want to push it. I'm satisfied with 350awhp - for now.
