How Meth Made My Car Fun Again

I have always been able to kick the back end of my car out around turns with some throttle. The more weight I took out of my car the easier it was to rotate the back around. Then I got coilovers and I got the car corner balanced, the alignment really balanced the car out but I was not having as much fun. I really liked to be able to get the back out easily but after the corner balance and alignment the car was much more neutral. Maybe thats a good thing for the race track but for the street I just love sliding around.

Then comes the day I decide to start finally tuning for meth. Up until now I have been working on pushing my car on pump gas and have only used a bit of water injection. Today I finally filled up the tank with 100% meth and cranked up the boost to 30+ psi.

O MAN, SO MUCH FUN AGAIN

I now have enough torque in 1st and 2nd to easily break the back of the car loose on throttle. Its finally scary to floor it around turns again, yipee!!

I have only done some preliminary tuning so far but Data Log Lab shows much more TQ. Meth really helps to quell knock counts. I can tell that I have room to add lots of timing up top which will no doubt help with 1/4 mile times.

Edit - Power graph in post 22

I'm envious of the tuning tools the EVO people have for the factory PCM. For the SRT we need to spend too much $$$ to get near the same.

Oh yeah, please just be careful on the streets with the power. It would be sad to hear about someone getting hurt, have fun but do not get carried away.

"Stock Turbo/Motor, 93 Pump, No Nitrous/No Meth
Best 1/4 - 11.70
Best MPH - 117.1
Best 60 Foot (Stock Tires/Clutch) - 1.687"

Change your signature ! Your an undercover meth junky I'm working on my meth set up too. I hope I can run the same kind of boost on my 50 trim I was really not satisfied with 50/50 water and denatured alky. I hope meth is alot better. What are the details on your set up (jet size, pump, etc..)

Those times are without meth, I have not gone back to the track with meth yet, so no signature change just yet.

Next time I go back to the track I plan to do a couple runs on just pump, and then change maps and turn on the meth and do a couple runs with that.

I want to get 11.59 on pump

And then I want to get 120 traps on meth with maybe 11.40ET.

Those are my goals, only thing to do now is try to reach them, might be a while, but I'll get there.

I wish my car scared me in a straight line, lol. I'm not saying its slow, not by any means, but I would not call it scary fast in a straight line, at least not yet
