How many points of octane does the meth give our pump gas?

 

According to this site, a 5% mixture of methanol will raise the octane of the pump gas by 1-1.5%.

depends on how much you inject

more meth = more octane and more latent heat of vaporization...

on the aquamist HFS-1 or the HFS-5, you can calculate it since the injection is predictable...

 

A 50/50 mix of water/methanol, when injected in the right qty, will raise your base fuel octane by 25%.

im injecting 100% meth with the aquamist HFS-1 using the .8mm nozzel. anyone know what my octane is?

 

No because we do not know what size injectors you have

 

the delivery of methanol by the HFS-1 is very constant and virtually rippleless/pulseless - knowing your injector size and duty, you can easily calculate it. the published octane number of meth i've seen is ~110-115...also there is the latent heat of vaporization part which contributes to the anti-knock property.
