i recently went through 'how to install aquamist...'by dubical and it says 'most people replace (fuel) any where from 10 to 30%'.

and flow chart flow and psi....

so, 10-30% replacement is with pure 100% methanol, correct?

well my question is this...

i am using 50%methanol and 50% water. in this case, should i calculate water being used in selecting correct nozzle size?

sorry i am too lazy to search...

will appreciate the answers...

 

Since you have a HSV a lot of the water/fuel ratio is done for you... next is the jet size, its really matters if its water or meth... rule of thumb 4 gallons an hour (250.8 cc per min) for stock evo injectors... I say no bigger than a 1.0 mm jet for 50/50.

I currently run 2 0.4mm @ 35%meth 65%water... Ill be switching to 50/50 soon to see if my car likes it more...

what's the downside if i inject more than 30% of 50/50 meth/water??

not to be critical, but for every question you can think to ask, there are 100 others that would be good to know the answer to, before you need to know them. Questions are good, and that's part of the beauty of the forum, is to answer questions and share experiences.

Search is your friend, and you can learn alot, and you'll increase the possibility of your motor surviving your self proclaimed "laziness". Meth/water injection isn't something you really want to play around with or take lightly, you really need to know what you're doing and to understand what happens when spraying. So keep asking questions, but also use the search function. It'll help answer questions you haven't even thought to ask.

 

i know...search is the tool...
but being on call, stuck in hospital and tune is coming pretty soon....
just tryin to take the short cut...

 

you got the largest flow restrictor to match flow to 0.9mm and 1.0mm jets - flow is limited to 980cc/min, iirc
