I'm wondering what the easiest way is to transfer methanol from a 5-gallon drum to the tank in the trunk. Is anyone using a hand pump of any sort? If so, what kind? I just want an easy, no spill way to handle methanol.

i just transfer from the VP drum to a 5 gal gas can. You can just get a funnel with custom tubing. that should be easy enough.

 

 

I use a crappy hand siphon pump from pep boys for the moment. The location of my bottle makes it tough to get any kind of funnel or even funnel / tube combo in there

i just a funnel with an extended hose. works well

 

I put my meth in a windshield washer fluid bottle. I just use a funnel to pour from the 5g pale to the bottle. It's clear so it actually looks like windshield washer fluid

 

and then to get to my tank I use the same extended funnel with the flex hose

I had a couple feet of hose hooked up to the 13gallon drum of meth I kept at the shop...

 

Yea that's what i use along with my mouth. I do the same when i need gasoline.

 

This one works well for 55gal drums, that what we use at the shop. But I keep a 5gallon can of 50/50 at home for fill ups, need to get one of abners 3$ ace hardware siphon pumps.
