Cheap source for methanol tanks

Thought I'd post up a discovery I made The tanks are made for go-kart fuel tanks, and look 100% identical to the 7 qt. tanks that Snow sells. Says they're compatable with all types of fuel/methanol, etc.

http://www.tmkartsupply.com/index.php?page=fueltanks

$18 bucks, and I think it looks alot better than those Flambeau tanks - perfect for trunk mounting.

Thanks, judging from the picture it is identical, as far as the dimensions, location for the cap, mounting tabs.. etc I already have a Snow kit but I didn't buy the larger tank to begin with, I might give these a try.

Edit: Here's the snow, at a glance I can't see anything different.

those tanks are not ideal for injection...base is too wide

you want tall and slender bottles, minimise sloshing and uptake of bubbles into system

Any proof of that? I understand the concept you mention but any real data on that...I think the only real setup that has an advantage over any tank system would be a bladder bag like what rally cars use...but then again stock fuel systems are nothing more than a larger squarish shaped tank...

Theres an SRT-4 user that had an Aquamist HFS-5 with one of those tanks. The float light on his DDS3 was triggered with a half a tank and the bargraph display got wacky during some hard street pulls. He switched to a taller less squat tank and the issues went away. Based on the failsafe being used a user may or may not know theres an issue by using this type of tank.

If the Flambaeu tanks are not liked try a 1 gal fuel cell, at least with with these theres room (because of the wide filler opening) to allow for fuel cell foam to be installed. Price for this solution is typically under $80.00
