Pump Placement?
i'm installing my 5 qt tank in the left side of my trunk (the opposite side of the windshield wiper fluid) and i was wondering where the best place to install the pump would be. i wanna keep everything hidden so it looks stock after i reinstall my trunk liner. i have the Snow Performance meth kit. give me some ideas. thanks.
I would suggest right next to the tank. The pump works better as a pusher rather than a puller. All you'll have to do is run the lines through the cabin like audio wire. We did an install on a Subi with the tank and pump mounted in the trunk. It was actually quite simple.

He means electrical lines not your methanol line of course. It is not recommended to run methanol through the inside of your car!
damn still didnt search? any install instructions work with any kit. with the 5 qt tank you wont be able to mount the pump underneath it. if you do you can rub against the fender from the inside causing a dimple on the outside.

I've been able to fit a tank and pump back there... its just a really tight squeeze.. Make sure you use some wire loom around the hose, the trunk has a lot of sharp parts that could eventually cause a leak...
Cheers!

Yep, all our lines are nylon. Good to go. If I remember correctly, there was plenty of room underneath the door sills to have all lines in wire loom. We wire loomed them coming out of the firewall and into the engine bay.
i dont think you did 5qt and pump on the drivers side?
i've fit the 5qt tank in the cubby hole but it is to tight to try again. the pump needs to be mounted quite a ways down there to let the tank sit as low as possible to not hit the fender. with the 4 qt tank it fits easily. the bracket i make for the pump allows you to mount it in about 1 minute taking your time. it utilizes two existing nuts welded into the frame (check the forward edge of the cubby, you'll see what i'm talking about). the third bolt holding it together is one that comes with the kit through one of the existing holes along the bottom edge of the cubby. so no drilling is required to mount the pump either.
