Audi S4 uber-tank & aquamist install :)

Thought you guys would like this.

So I installed an HFS-1 system in a S4 last weekend as the motor was out and twin GT28RS's were bolted on to it It has a custom 4-gallon plastic-welded tank, mounted in the spare tire well. There is currently one outlet leading to the pump from the left side of the tank. We will be putting in a second one with a Y on the right side sometime in the future. The tank is filled with neato baffles so fluid doesn't slosh around too much.

DDS Junciton box hidden and wired nicely. Easily accessable as well.

Tucks in here, and a small cover hides all of this:

We installed ER intercoolers while the car was apart, which made tapping them for the twin alky nozzles pretty easy! Installing the feed line was a different story. I had some fancy uber-hidden routing planned out, but we were short on tubing, so I had to just run it across the engine bay, one to each intercooler. SNUG FIT!

Both are .7mm nozzles.

And the best part, my temporary gauge mount. Like others, I'm sure the owner will leave it here forever :P

Car went immediately to the dyno, but ended up being plagued with wastegate issues. Could only hold 22psi to redline, but the car made 420whp on dyno dynamics dyno w/ zero correction. Should make 450 easy with another few psi up top!

The tank is a work of art. I gather it is internal baffled.

I have never tried welding plastic. Did you do the welding?

That tank is sweet..
I'm in the market for a meth/alky kit and this would be perfect for a nice stealth install with a high capacity tank.

Any chance of making more of these?
I would be in for sure..

nice install...

As long as you're ok going around with an amount of meth enough to blow up a building. Stealth though !

Thanks guys, but I did not make the tank. It is internally baffled, and I'm thinking of either getting the stuff to make more like this, or just working with the guy that did them in the first place. On my evo, I'm using a 1 gallon flambeau tank, and if the tank was wider, it could hold more and still fit in the rear fender area. I'll post up if I can get more of these

I would also like to say, the install is neat and almost invisible.

that car shud be making well over 450 whp! slight lag on thous turbos when the hit that cars out! if you really want to impress him take the center airvent use wire cutters to cut a hole then a dremel to smooth the edges and pop and run the wires from the driver side (had a b5 s4 and a b6 a4)

I would, but there's already a boost gauge there I'm trying to convince him to get another gauge pod like that, but most come with a gauge pre-fabbed into the vent :P

Thanks for the comments guys!

More info on the person who made it. I've been wanting to make some custom plastic tanks with internal baffling myself but have not got around to buying the materials and tools needed.......too many things on the plate and not enough time to play.

Congrats, I really like how its in the spare tire well.........fantastic idea.
