I'm planning for my HFS-5 installation soon and I want to to be sure that what I intend to do is the best way to setup direct port meth injection for the Evo. I will be using a 50/50 meth and water mixture and the max IDC on my 1000cc injectors is around 80%. So 20% of 3200cc is 640cc. Dividing that by 4, I need to get a nozzle that sprays around 160cc and based on the nozzle flow chart, the 0.4mm looks to be it
The basic plan is to install a 0.4mm nozzle on each runner, connecting the 4mm nylon pipe line from each nozzle to a 4-1 splitter which is in turn connected to a single HSV. What I need to know is how to optimize this to produce the best results for reliable operation. I have no idea if I shld put a filter on each line connected to each nozzle or just a single filter after the spillter. I also don't know if I shld put an inline check valve and if so, where.
Any advice is much appreciated

Let me redo the math a little....I am going to run 30PSI of boost so I should be looking at the 95PSI flow rate. If I choose the 0.4mm nozzle, it will be 177cc * 0.8 = 142cc. The 0.5mm nozzle will give me 222cc * 0.8 = 178cc. Which is the better choice then?
For port injection I think the biggest nozzle you can use is .4mm
When you use nozzles that small you have to use an additional filter on the line going from the tank to the pump. The stock filter is 15micron I think and the port injection filter is 5 micron if I remember. There are the only two filters that you use on the entire system.
The small nozzles (.3mm, .4mm, etc...) already have built in filters inside the nozzle.

I dont think you need check valves. I have never seen anyone use checkvalves with the aquamist kits because the HSV eliminates the need for it. 125PSI line pressure is always mantained so check valves serve no purpose.

I must have been wrong in the micron numbers I remebered, the larger micron filter is the normal filter that everyone uses. if you want to use port injection you also need to use the smaller micron filter. the 6mm line runs from the tank to the pump and then to the HSV. on the other side of the HSV 4mm line comes out and goes to the flow sensor, then it runs to the nozzles. you can only use 4mm line with the nozzles. are you trying to put this kit together yourself or do you have an hfs-5.
If I were going to run port injection on my car I would purchase and HFS-5. then all you need to add on is the extra filter, the 4-1 splitter, and 4 nozzles. everything else you need comes in the hfs5 kit.

It is possible for us to supply an internal filter on all the jets, all the way up to 1mm. But larger flow also over-work the filter elements. We therefore only offer them for 0.3mm and 0.4mm jets.
When running port injection, it is important that you use a second filter (30um) after the main filter to reduce the load to the 25um filters inside the jets.
4mm hosetails are supplied with every system. 6mm hosetails are mostly catered for the DIY markets.
Yourvcalculation is good, with manifold pressure compensation. If you are based in UK, please give me a ring to discuss this.
