Aquamist's new HFS-3 for 2010, replacing the HFS-1
#31
When the HFS-2 and 3 ship there is the possibility of packaging some items with the systems if people are interested. We can discuss this option more when orders begin for the new systems.

I don't think so, if you could it would only be the very latest V10 of the HFS-1 and even then, Richard would have to confirm. Those later versions of the HFS-1 were capable if being run in PWM mode. You'd probably be better off this way depending upon the version you have.
If it's an older version of the 1, I think there are too many differing items that you end up just replacing the whole kit.
P.S. I know certain upgrade paths were discussed for many of the old systems during the design phase but don't have the exact info on what the final outcome is. Richard will have to jump in and answer.

Option1:
V10 upgrade to H3 controller: needs the following:
- FAV
- H3 gauge cable (10-way) to replace H1 gauge cable (8-way)
- Green harness for wire to wire splice or optional break out box (tidier)
HFS-1 v10 component re-used:
- Pump and harness
- water level sensor
- turbine water flow sensor
- V10 Dash gauge
HFS-1v10 redundancy:
- Medium speed Valve
- gauge cable (8-way)
- junction box
Option2:
Alternatively, you can just get the FAV, retain the all the HFS-1v10 components. HFS-v10 can be made to work in progressive mode provided you install a FAV (fast acting valve)

As promised, the machined body of the HFS-2 dash switch has arrived from the anodiser today, delayed by the recent heavy snow fall last week. We assembled it and took a few pictures. The image is animated to show how the system work in real life. An information much needed before the GB starts in two days time on the aqaumist forum.
