Same goes for the lights. I mean, most people put them in a place where they can't see them. Or just are not paying attention. So fail safes are really all people have to ensure the engine is safe.
There is no question that having a visual such as a gauge is important, however using the gauge as your failsafe with a visual only is a bad idea. You cant watch the gauge at all times, that is why you need a safety mechanism that is flow based and automatic and of course gives you a visual as to whats going on.

Everything else, brand, and what not is all personal preference. The thing is, most kids that come with fail safes only come with a "progressive" controller. Which kinda blows cause you really don't need it. So, you buy one device, that needs to be hooked up to another device, that the fail safes hook up to. Would just be nice to by pass the progressive controller to save cost since you really don't need that anyway, have a system that monitors flow or whatever that triggers a fail safe in the event something comes up. Is there a company that has that? I have not seen one yet. Thats all my point is.
Our idea was to make it all in one, because you are correct. Kits on the market today are "connect this box to this box to this gauge". We wanted a simplified all in one solution. It makes things less expensive for the user and more reliable as there is far less that can go wrong. Having one 52 MM gauge that you can see your boost, flow and failsafe status at a single glance as well as dot he failsafe task was the idea we put forth.

So is the cost worth it? Sure it is, if you want the most power out of your car, but like every modification there is always a pro vs con. You just have to decide if the Pros' are worth the $$$. Hard to argue the cost vs hp advantage of Methanol that is for sure.
Agreed. More power, More safety and in our case practiality of being a boost gauge makes meth injection the best bang for the buck mod. If you need any help setting your CMGS up, let us know.

I noticed on the FI race this weekend, the driver's steering wheel uses a bargraph display. I did not see any analogue gauges. May be the use of bargraph display is not that old fashioned after all.

To be fair I do admit there are more leds on their bargraph display, considering each one of these steering wheel is priced over $30.000 a piece.

Here is an example:
