I notice not alot of people who I asked dont like meth injection kits for the evo? Is it really that harmful to this cars motor?
In my opinion methanol/water injection is a viable solutions to running higher boost levels safely if your set up is well done. From what I have been reading on EvoM is that the number 1 cylinder is starved from meth there for causing the cylinder to run leaner then the other three.
Also from what I have been reading a failsafe is a very good idea as the nozzles could become clogged.

you run meth at higher boost levels to keep the heat down. so if you were running 29+ psi, and went down to 20-25 you will be fine.
But remember the car is tuned to run meth at those boost levels. In Other words, run it, or dont run it at all.
If your tuned on meth for 20 lbs then your tune will be tuned for meth on 18 lbs unless your run tephra mods to do dual maps. Just because you unhook the meth pump doesn't mean that your tune is still going to be ok without it. Also if you do not tune to the edge of blowing up without meth then a proper failsafe can save your motor.
If you use meth make sure your tuner runs the same timing and afr's as a pump gas tune and keep her a bit on the rich side around 11.0,to 11.3 max and use it just for a knock supression . I wouldn't run past 31 psi while using just in case the pump or something of the sort fails.
