Hellos guys!! I have an AEM Meth kit from one year ago...

The kit work fine, but I rebuid my engine and change turbo and cams, etc....

Like one month ago I start to tune my car (email custom tune). My tuner start with 18 psi to tune... right now I have 25 psi. My question is:

AEM meth kit have a progressive controller.. According to how much psi I run my car you need to regulate this progressive controller right??

I i up to 25 to 26 psi you need to change the full psi in the progressive controller?? or if you have experience with this kit can you help me with the setup of this module??

Sometimes I chance the star psi and full psi and have contanly knock, them, change agian the star and full psi and not knock... I can´t use this controller

 

I have the same kit.

I run ~25psi right now, so my start is 10psi, and full is 20psi.

You will need to adjust that based on what kind of knock you are seeing.

thanx!! I have mine start boost like 7 psi and full boost like 20 psi I think.

Right now I run my car with 25 psi.. in the next days we try to up to 28 psi...

The turbo is FP Black. Do I need change start and full psi on the controller???

 

What nozzle are you using?

 

AEM kit have 3 nozzle with the kit right??

I have the big one. 450+

 

too much alky can give knock??? maybe I need to setup correctly my star and full psi in my meth kit...

 

One more question!!! If you use a big Turbo for example FP Black or HTA 3582..

If you set the star boost 8 psi and full boost 25 psi (for 25 psi in your 16G), when you setting for these big turbos (Black-HTA3582) you need more alky right???? You can program your alky to star in 8 psi and full boost like 18 psi (for 25 psi in your big turbo)... I don´t know if you can understand me =) ... I want to know if this is correct?? 25 psi in a 16G is less air flow than 25 psi in a Black or HTA35, so you need re program your progressive module of your AEM kit right???

on all the aem meth kits ive used, i always set the start as 1/4 of my what my max boost is set at & full of course at what my max boost is set on.. this is what the aem techs recommended when i called and asked, so ive done this way since..
so if it was me, id start @ 6psi & full @ 25psi...

I will make some logs start 6 psi and full boost 25 psi; But like I said before, right now i´m tuning my car... Maybe today my tuner told me boost up to 26 psi, so do I need change the full psi in my progressive module??? that is the point. Progressive module have little numbers and space to move exactly what psi do you want. but I will try...

to be honest, the settings is up to you or your tuner. if you'll ask me, just set it up to 10psi min and 18-20psi max on stock turbo. can't really remember how much evo4 stock turbo tapers down @ redline but IMHO i'd want my meth to be injecting in full flow @ full boost in higher rpms.

with regards to tuning, you will have knock when you're pig rich..so lean it out first..not sure how much mixture you're using..but in any case, your tuner should know this moving forward..
