Your experience with Mark Mitsubishi and Mods
I ran a search and found a few people who've had experiences with Mark Mitsubishi on Scottsdale Road, but none of them were related to warranty voiding or modifications.
I've met the younger guy that I believe is the head of service over there, I believe Tyrell is his first name. He seems like a pretty cool guy, but you never know. I think he drives a white or silver evo, maybe he's on this board.
I have the free life-time oil changes with this car, so I like to take it to the dealership for the free oil change. But I'm worried that my modding will get too "heavy" and they'll void my warranty. They've already seen that I have a CAI, but they said nothing. They have not seen my header or any other modifications.
I'm not one of those people that expect the dealership to pay for my engine water-locking because my cold-air intake sucked up some water from a deep puddle. But I'm worried my A/C compressor will go out, and they'll refuse to fix it under warranty because I have a cold air intake, or something like that. Does anyone know the management over there? How are they? So far my experiences with them have been positive.

I took my 2G eclipse GST to Mark on Scottsdale after I replaced a clutch master cyl, slave cyl and clutch. After replacing those parts I was experiencing my clutch pedal dropping to the floor at random. Tyrell told me I needed a new short block and that I had crankwalk. He showed me a work order for $5800 which included parts and labor to "fix my car".
I took my car to Bell Road Mitsubishi for a second opinion. As it turns out my car only needed a small adjustment. I watched the guy put the car up on a lift and check for crankwalk - The crank was rock solid with no play. He made a small adjustment on the pedal and sent me on my way, no charge. That's the type of service I like. Now I take my EVO to Bell Road.
Come to think of it, I don't think the *** hats at Mark ever even looked at my car. Since the symptoms I was experiencing were very similar to crankwalk they just assumed the worst. Not to mention they charged me $75 for an improper diagnosis of the problem.

Update.
I took my car into Mark Mitsu today for my lifetime oil-change service, some free recall parts fix, and some warranty work on my A/C knob that won't go "hot"
Anyway, there's a guy over there who's really cool and willing to help with problems. Just call Mark Mitsubishi on Scottsdale Road and ask for Tyrell. He's really helpfull. I believe he's the service manager actually.
PM me for his direct number if you'd like to contact him, I have his card.

I purchased and service my EVO at Mark Mitsu on Scottsdale. Tyrell is the service manager. I have had a good experience with him, no complaints. As for the mods performed and warranty issues. Unless the aftermarket part is the cause, and PROVEN, then THAT specific waranty is then voided.
