omg... thats retarded!... notice how they state that they are looking for cars that are potentially modified... so basically even if you arent doing anything illegal they could still pull you over just cause of their suspicion...

Oh good god! It's time to rebel or something.

They keep this up I'm getting wood sides, white walls and a frick'n turbo. And I'l do just to **** them off.

I'll add a sticker to a place I've been or something cheesy every time I add a performance part.

It will become the new underground way to ID each other. LOL

When did it become I crime to have a nice car?

wow that is really stupid. why cant they take that money and put into something useful? like cracking down on real crimes of murder rape and other terroristic activities instead of these b.s. tickets.

"We're looking to make a heavy impact on speeding and street racing in this area,"

Do they really have to waste that much money to create a undercover unit and training to make a impact on speeding and street racing? I mean if they really want to make a impact all they need to do is THEIR JOB. I see cars speeding, myself included and what law enforcement that happens to be around just roll along. I figure they just don't want to hastle with pulling over etc.(at least not all the time)

As far as I know they have to do patrol's anyway. I mean I can go driving around randomly and come up on people racing. In all this BS that im saying i think maybe they just need equipment, more officers or encourage current officers to fully enforce the laws.

I was recently pulled over in a 35 for going 40. I was stopped by two cops and was asked if i had any drugs or guns in the car. Hmmm..... don't they have somethung better to do? They should focus on the frickin thieves who come up off of stealin our crap. I've lost ten grand in stuff in 2 years and no pay back from any of it even with evidence gainst the suspects.

You can find a great discussion on this subject Here. These guys know their **** and they don’t hold back as far as calling BS on anybody (outsiders, newbie’s, full fledged members). Several good points are made about this being just racial profiling. by using your vehicle as probable cause to search you. Of course if they don’t find any guns, drugs or gang paraphernalia they can always hit you with an equipment violation.

Ya...CA street laws are obsured. It's a waste of time and profit to try and use exetreme measures to get rid of speeding and racing. It's like trying to shut down P2P sites, stop drug use, and hacking software. It just ain't gonna happen.

I think it's funny that they have an article about 'cracking down' on modified cars and the one picture is of a STOCK sti. Just goes to show the intelligence of the people making the laws there. I love the state, but hate the government there.
