what about the Mazda6 ? You really don't need a uber-car to enjoy these rallies. The guy who plans most of these drives a bone stock Mazda MP5 wagon!
The participants run the gamut of the car world, from the whatever they can find at the rental counter, to the typical modded Subarus, family wagons, minivans to the occasional Porsches, and then there's our resident 427 Cobra Replica.
run what ya bring is what we say. everything is welcome and you'll have fun no matter what you drive.

i'm pretty interested.. i might be going with another evo friend..
are you going??
There a couple of breaks planned. At least one long one planned for food and fuel. We basically plan around our resident 427 Cobra Replica. He can go about 180 miles on a tank at WOT/50% of the time. I've only ever come close to running out of gas on one rally when my nav opted to ignore the fuel stop. doh!! I coasted into a gas station at the next fuel/food stop. I was going to make him push if we didn't make it
it starts in Valencia and ends in Calabassas. where it goes in between is a secret until the start.
Hope to see more Evo's there. We had a couple coming last year but haven't seen them this season at all.

not saying that you "have to" obey all speed limits, but you will not be "required" to speed to arrive at your destination on time.
legal disclaimer in the rules: "if you are observed getting a traffic violation by one of the rally staff you will be disqualified"
last thing, the roads that we plan to use are typically out in the middle of nowhere. And public traffic doesn't usually pose a concern.
